Since he committed Iowa's strength staff are making him use straps on his cleans now so he's lost a lot of his power
Yep, really set Scherff back.

He's a pretty good guard, probably would have gotten LT money if the strength staff wasn't so soft
Ha, aside from the fact that his rookie contract was bigger than any OT drafted, spot on. Hey, were you alive in '73?
Scherff has what, a 4 year 22 mill deal? His offensive lineman teammate got a 5 year 66 mill deal. One of them used straps in college, the other did not.
Haha, nice. I'm guessing you were around in '73, but very young. No?

You'd be wrong
WOW they updated the article that they just posted yesterday
Edit: a previous version of this post said that Harris was the nephew of former Bears defensive lineman Tommie Harris. That evidently isn't true, as Juan Harris apologized for making that up on Twitter.

I'm too lazy to go back in the thread. What caused the bump?
This. Oh, and apparently isn't very literate. He camped at Illinois this past weekend.
This just makes me sad, actually. Poor kid. I really hope he can land somewhere stable and get a decent education.

Yeah, even if he ends up a Hawk, seems like one of those cases where you just hope the kid can get some solid support around himself and some good mentors there to help give him some of what it sounds like he didn't get growing up.
How is this dude going to be at all academically eligible?
