Looking forward to all of you STAYING AWAY from the newly expanded JTS. It looks awesome.
Choices, choices, choices! Attending men's basketball and football games has become quite expensive. As a retired person living on a very limited income, does one attend select games each year or purchase a season pass to the neighborhood golf course? To me, the golf course wins in a landslide. Of course, when I can acquire a free or cheap ticket to an event, I will be there enjoying a rare treat. Otherwise, my tv and computer will be where I view sporting events. The team's record, coaching staff, talent level, or event atmosphere have nothing to do with where I spend my limited entertainment dollars. It is simply where I can get the most bang for my buck.

That probably isn't good advice to give for a stadium that averaged 40k fans per game last year and will hold 61k this season. Sports fanbases of "the few, the proud" generally find themselves in the Missouri Valley or D2. Fans have every right to be royally torked off at the downfall of the Paul Rhoads era, and you telling them to stay away is counterproductive.

Your claim that ISU averaged 40k fans paid attendance last year is complete BS. WHY lie about it? We averaged well over 50k in a stadium that actually only has about 46,000 seats but can hold more with standing room only.
The first 2 games will probably be sellouts for sure next year.

Considering who the opponents are for those two games, they better be.The first 2 games will probably be sellouts for sure next year.

My last kick in the nuts was given to me by the Basketball team. I have forgiven them and moved on. Time to get optimistic about the new season. Newly expanded stadium. Lots of newcomers. And a lot of the new staff has now been here a year and starting their second year.
Being negative does no one any good. Continue to be positive. And if we get kicked in the nuts again. We will survive.
You only want fans at the game who are happy with a terrible product? Or are crazy enough to actually believe that ISU FB fans are spoiled or fair weather fans? It will take a whole lot of short buses to fill the stadium with those people.
A little easier to take a kick in the nuts from the basketball team after all the fun of a 25 win season, a 2nd place conference finish, and another conference tourney title. Been very little fun on football week-ends the last few years, but I will be positive and hope things change drastically this fall.
Simple question:I want fans at the game that cheer on the team. Not a bunch of grumbling complainers. The Bitchers and the Moaners can stay home. Using your logic, the Cubs and the Red Sox should have had empty stadiums for decades.
