I would take a B12 tie with ISU today and be happy to move on to the conference tournament and NCAA's. I wouldn't be disappointed one tad, oh, maybe just a little, but the trophy and displacing Ku would a strong consolation and make for a thoroughly delightful end to this season.

So, how about you?

Considering where we started*, dethroning KU would be a great prize. Considering where we are now it would be tinged with just a little disappointment. For me that disappointment would be very small.

*Both teams dealt with more than their fair share of early season difficulties.

If we win in Manhattan, Id definitely take it. I realize a share is a share, but I dont want to have a share with KSU, and had lost to them twice giving them the unofficial title. If we lose in Manhattan and cant win outright, Id rather KU just win again, and take our shots at the title next season.

Way up there
Obviously rather win it all but if it had to be a tie I'd gladly split it with K State, Baylor and KU can split 3rd.

There can only be one #1 seed in the B12 Tournament- indicating there is no "true" sharing of the conference season title. Dethroning Kansas would be great and why not let it be the best team who does it?

I'd take that but could we instead have KSU suck because **** them and have ISU just be lone champions?

They give out more than one trophy if teams finish with identical records and put all of the top teams' names in the record book so there is true sharing of the title.

My order of wants:

1. Win title outright
2. Tie for title with someone other than KU
3. 2nd place outright with someone other than KU winning

If KU doesn't win the Big XII, we will undoubtedly hear about how the Big XII is down and I'm ok with that. Living in KC, I'm done hearing about the stupid streak and want it to die a painful death.

From a national standpoint (despite KSU going deep in the tourney last year) I get the impression that Iowa State winning the conference will make the Big XII look stronger than KSU or Baylor or Tech winning it. That loss in College Station was a huge black mark on KSU perception-wise.

Yes, yes, I know. Simply, I have no interest in sharing the conference title with any other team simply because I truly think ISU is the best team in the conference and best positioned at this point in the season to win it outright. Sharing the title would be slightly underachieving.

If sharing the conference title with anther team is required to dethrone Kansas, then I guess so be it.
