DraftKings opens up with Kansas as just a 1 point favorite.

Also please don't let the KU QB run all over the place. Keep him contained.
I'm more worried about their RBs. Bean is dangerous, but he's also prone to making terrible mistakes. I think our defense will give him issues. They are going to hit some big plays and score some points, so our defense can't get frustrated. Like every week, win the turnover battle, and I think we win.

My in person series history is all tied up (2-2).

1992: Kansas 50 @ Iowa State 47 (most disheartening ISU loss I have ever experienced in person).

1994: Kansas 41 @ Iowa State 23. Just another miserable loss in a miserable year.

2019: @ Iowa State 41 Kansas 31. Finally a football victory over KU for me!

2020: Iowa State 52 @ Kansas 22. Just another GREAT win in a GREAT year!

2023: I'll be there. Looking for the 3-Peat (41-36 Cyclones). Let's Go State!

Great that it is in Ames. KU is vulnerable on the road. Their defense gives up 39.5 points in conf road games but only 27.3 at home. Same scenario with offense; 42 points at home, 23 on the road.
Now, 2 of their 3 toughest games were road losses so that skewers it too.

Last year our defense shut them down; it was our putrid offense and kicking game that let us down.

I'm a big fan of how Kansas plays offense. Hopefully Heacock can cook up another gameplan to shut them down.

The RB’s are a concern, but keeping Bean in the pocket is the key to the game for me. He’s great on the run and improvising, but he is below average sitting back in the pocket. Zach Lovett is going to get a lot of run in his spy role this game.

Jalon Daniels was suited up, and warmed up pre game Saturday, but didn't play.

For me this is the most important game left on the schedule because it’s probably the most winnable. Win this and the rest of the season can be played without the overwhelming pressure of getting to 6 wins for bowl game chances.

As someone already mentioned, win TO battle and probably win the game.
