It was a finger on the cheek. Lots of people sit that way and don't realize it. dude has big fingers so it stood out more based on the situation, you guys are blowing this out of proportion.

Plus, his suspension can be retroactive to one of the games he already sat out, can't it?

Booker is obviously a sensitive dude that doesn't react well to frustration. No one should be surprised, but with that, I don't think a suspension should be necessary.

It has been a few years ago...when super Roy was the KU coach, but I recall Drew Gooden after KU finally won in Hilton slamming the ball at center court and giving the entire crowd the bird. When asked in the post game about it...all super Roy could do was smile. It's up to CFH....but I wouldn't suspend him.

Not defending Booker, but I noticed that he doesn't look at the camera before doing so. While it's clear that he meant to flip someone or something off, I'm not convinced it was the camera. He may have heard a fan taunting him from behind him in the crowd and tossed up a finger just out of his own frustration that happened to be captured on film.

It doesn't really matter either way, I just thought I would share what I saw. Unacceptable behavior when you should know as a player that anything you do can be caught by the cameras.
Took the words outta my mouth. Not classy but not suspesion worthy IMO. That St Joe player did it on the court obviously towards the crowd. Book just flashed it to someone in the crowd while sitting on the bench. I really doubt if anybody at the game even saw it. Still not acceptable tho

That's what I thought too. Still dumb but I don't think he was intentionally flipping of the camera.

I get around

St. Joe's forward Halil Kanacevic let his emotions get the best of him in his team's 65-61 loss to Villanova on Tuesday night. Now he's paying for it with a two-game suspension in response to his "obscene gesture," announced by the school early Wednesday night.

St. Joe's is a church school, it's against their religion to give the finger. ISU is a public school so it's OK.

You have to be able to control your emotions in that situation. If that was a player on any other team we would be ripping the crap out of him.

It's stupid, but Booker never gave me the impression he was a rocket scientist anyway. I would prefer he didn't do it, but I don't think it is as big as deal as everyone is making it out to be.

Other schools are really starting to hate us now. Not that I mind that.

Whether he apologized on his own or was told to by CFH, this is good enough for me, personally.

Wherever I go, there I am.

If we reduce ourselves to he level of Roy Williams and the level of class displayed by his teams then we have lost all honor.

Never ceases to amaze me how sensitive some people are on here. Big deal he flipped the bird. For all you know a teammate said something smartass to him and he flipped him. I flip people all the time when they make a smartass comment to me.
