Greatest of all time.

While I would say Jordan was better, Kobe is probably up there. He proved he could do it with, or without Shaq. His legacy is hurt a bit by his injuries the past few years and not being able to "go out on top". Of course I conveniently forget MJs time with the Wizards as well.

Once in a generation player.

Still a ***** though.

Honestly probably the series against the Kings the year before they met in the WCF, had a couple monster games, 45/10 types, to sweep a really good Sacramento team.

Here is an interesting question that I can't answer since I don't like him.

Did kobe hurt his reputation as a player by staying so long? Does your opinion change if you are a laker fan too? (versus just a Kobe fan?). The Lakers have paid him a ton of money to do not much for several years.

Eh, he's only really fallen off the last couple of years due to injury. It's not like they would have kicked him to the curb after multiple championship seasons. The front office did a really poor job of bringing in supporting talent, which I believe was made worse by Kobe's personality.

All great players eventually decline, unless they retire REALLY early like Barry Sanders, so I don't hold that against Kobe's legacy as a player.

And by without Shaq, you mean with three all-star caliber bigs and one of the best defenders in the game instead.

He's definitely up there and he's definitely an *** but imo not the greatest ever. But that's just my opinion. I don't really like the greatest of all time arguments. They are kinda pointless

Love this argument. I haven't found anyone that's won multiple titles without having HOF/All star caliber players around them.

Do you know who kareem abdul-jabbar is? And lebron is better

Never heard of him before I saw him present an award Friday night on the Basketball Awards show. I assume he is some radical Muslim guy who likes basketball.

Yes I know who he is!!!

I don't think it was ever Kobe's intention to play this long. But the injuries to end his seasons never let him go out the way he wanted to. So here we are, sadly.

Kobe actually played in an era where there was other surrounding talent. Jordan never could win until all the 80's greats were old and retired (or got aids). He beat up on the worst era in NBA history. I have Jordan somewhere in my top 5 though. Nice player.

I want to say the only time that has happened was one of the Rockets championship teams. Hakeem was the only all star on the team. Could be wrong though.

He was the copilot in Airplane, but I don't think he'd be that good at basketball, too tall and lanky.

My dad says he didn't work hard enough on defense. ... and that lots of times, Kareem didn't even run down court.
