We lose 10-3 on a punt return for a TD in the 4th

We lose 24 - 13. Offense gifts KSU 7 points on a bad turnover, special teams has multiple bad plays that include a long punt return, long kick return, and a missed extra point, and Tom Manning once again proves that he is an incompetent moron with atrocious play calling.

Everyone is like Purdy this, Purdy that. Nay! Butler this, Butler that. How spoiled were we having Lazard and Butler and a stable of TEs and a reliable NFL running back. But keep blaming Thomas Manning...
Really have to assume this is an attempt at humor. But there is absolutely nothing funny about the lack of Tom's skill/ability to game plan, adjust in-game, strategically design an offensive system and schemes that play into his personnel's strengths and adapts to group weaknesses, etc.

If Tom's best trait continues to be that his offenses "put up decent yards when he's spoiled with NFL players", then Cyclone Nation better be prepared to stay cemented in mediocrity for a looooong time.

No Brock . No offense. Turnovers give KSU short fields. Can't win without scoring and we won't likely be scoring. Unless our defense gives us multiple short fields we aren't in this game.

KSU looks like the better team to me. Unless Martinez plays like he did at Nebby and turns the ball over, I have a hard time seeing ISU winning. Just feel that ISU will have to have its best game of the year to win, which is possible, but unlikely.

Cat 24 - 13. Hope I am wrong.

Too many Chicken Littles.

Jon Heacock is drooling over an offense that can’t pass. We get at least one defensive score. KState’s defense isn’t as good as some of you seem to think.

28-10, good guys win

Only hope is that there's someone who had the light come on this week that has a big impact. Maybe something in the Oline as well.

I think the ceiling for talent is not that high for this group but a young group can start 'find it' after some tough situations too.

Game Prediction:

ISU on O:
- Sounds as if both all RBs will be dressed and available to play. Clearly won’t be 100% but being there and available will be beneficial for blocking and moving the ball on the ground.
- I think Hunter comes out and plays his best game of his Cyclone career. This KSU pass defense is gettable, and I know Dekkers and the O have been getting shelled in practice by the staff and are gonna be poised to put on a show tonight under the lights.
- Dekkers 37/49 367 yards 3TDs.
- RBs find their way to generate over 100 yards in the ground.

ISU on D:
- KState will find some success early on the ground but about half way through the game the D locks in, like always.
- Martinez will be forced to pass and make a few mistakes.
- Freyler has a HUGE game. 10+ tackles.
- TJ Tampa or Myles P grab their first INT of the season.

Score: ISU-28 KSU-20

Almost exactly this. But I would have us at a 17-13 loss. I feel like our D is legit and we won't give up much despite the ST and offense miscues that are bound to happen. Still a loss though, and a mirror of the last couple games.

Like most games, it will come down to who dominates at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. That formula seldom changes.

Frustrating thing is this team talent wise and the way it's constructed is more balanced that KSU. But KSU executes better and that is what will win out in the end. Through 5 games this team has shown what it is. Are we to expect it to dramatically change in one game?

I expect to lose but I'm looking for small improvements in the OL run blocking. HD in situational awareness. Anything that shows we know what we are supposed to do in special teams. Have to substantially drop expectations for this team and hope by the end of the year they start to figure out out.
