The 6-foot-9 N.C. State sophomore transfer told SNY.tv he’s considering the following landing spots:
Arizona State
Butler
Cincinnati
Iowa
Iowa State
Kansas
Marquette
Providence
West Virginia
Xavier

Couple of ISU advantages, other than available playing time in 2016, that occured to me.

-ISU was the only original school in his top 5 out of HS. "Washington chose N.C. State over Ohio State, Washington and Iowa State." In addition, per rivials the only other school that offered him out of HS that was the is in this top 10 is ISU and Marquette (different coach).

-I believe Otz originally recruited him in 2012 with his Brewster connections.

Suprised Minnesota didn't make the cut growing up there and they were after KW to bring him back to the Twin Cities. Though his parents have since moved from the Metro area must have removing that as a selling point.

I think a year of him sitting out plus getting in the right system can make him a big asset to our team. I'd be happy with him or King

I agree with your assessment. As of right now, I'm not very confident he'll end up here due to all the schools we are competing with, however, I do think we have as good of a chance as anyone on that list of landing him at the moment. Things easily change one way or the other though.

At least we don't really have to worry about Iowa... :v_SPIN:

Only 8 other schools, chances improving!

Which one of these is true for you? 1. You are surprised that Kansas has interest in bringing in a transfer like Washington (decent but not outstanding) when they have the tradition/recruiting they do. OR 2. The perception of Washington being an impact transfer automatically went up since KU is interested, so he must be worth a look.

C. None of the above. He was a top 100 player out of high school, I followed his recruitment, and thought he would be a good fit for our system and still do.

Washington looked good in this video and held his own against Nerlens Noel. Speaking of which, it almost looks like Georges Niang in this video. Did Niang play with Noel in high school or something?

There are tons of Kyle Washington videos out there from high school going up against pretty good competition. Anyone questioning his stats at NCst. should watch some, kid can absolutley help us.

They both played for Tilton. Niang flew under the radar on that team.
