Yeah, people say that stuff but they don't really have numbers on the amount of times we "gambled." Rhoads has never been aggressive at the end of the first half, especially if we are getting the ball.

It is what Rhoads does. He always sits, he punts on 4th and 3 at the 55 yard line, it is what he does. He is no longer a gambler. It would have surprised me to see him take a shot.
Of course I would like him to be a gambler, but Nebby in '10 changed him man, it really changed him.
You should onside kick 50% of the time you kickoff Vs. Baylor.

I hated that too. My guess is that seeing each team had about a billion possessions in the first half, Rhoads didn't want to risk Baylor getting it back and scoring because that would be devastating.
The way we came out in the 2nd half really shows they all still felt they were in the game. And hell, if it weren't for that inexplicable intentional grounding when we had the momentum, maybe we really would have been.
Look, you have no idea how Rhoads would coach in the CFL.
And that is why you don't coach.
10 yard out routes to the sideline would have worked as well.
Pollard is NOW paying him to "improve" from yesterday, from last year. CPR's effort is to always show improvement. As long as he sells Pollard that he is doing that, he will meet his goals and keep his job.It is what Rhoads does. He always sits, he punts on 4th and 3 at the 45 yard line, it is what he does.
