Notre Dame is a joke and didn't deserve to be in the championship game last year. Alabama, albeit a dynasty team right now, could of gotten a much tougher opponent in lieu of an over rated ND. Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Stanford, Oregon all would of been a better game. No one honestly thought ND had a chance at winning.

Excellent 1st post. Taking bets on what fanbase this guy represents. Considering every fanbase hates ND, it's a crap shoot.

A guy on my highschool swim team played for ND. He recovered the fumble in the end zone when they won the national championship. He played a couple of downs for the Falcons... Good guy but going to ND did not make him special by any means...

I think when they mention the value of a degree from ND that they are factoring in the Catholic Church protecting individuals from criminal prosecution -- no matter how abominable the crime. So a degree from ND has that going for it...

Sounds like a good camp scary story you tell to young ISU fans. Telling them about the big bad Notre Dame and how they will take our recruits while we sleep. Except you forgot to start it with Once upon a time....

On a serious note thanks for sharing. Interesting to see that they can be so sure about him going to Notre Dame.

Oh, have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard.

Obvious Notre Damn arrogance is obvious.

I'm constantly amazed at the range of posters here, from real smart or thoughtful or funny and clever to complete idiocy. I thinks it's about half and half.

I thinks that is the perfect example of the quality in a degree from Notre Dame.

Obviously Lazard knows the type of history ND has but that was one thing that made Mister so intrigued about coming to ISU, that if him and Lazard come together and recruit guys, they will be the start of something special at ISU.

Wrong, most posters are stupid. They use this forum to express their idiotic thoughts.

Notre Dame's stadium is good sized but I don't feel its wowing recruits with its ancient charm. At some point a little modernization would be nice. Atmosphere for games has gotta be great with all the tradition and history of that place. Problem being it looks like a dump compared to something like Bryant Denny stadium, which was built around the same time, but kept with the times over the years, and eventually added upper decks.

Found this blog about BD stadium with pics over the years. 2. BRYANT-DENNY STADIUM « STADIAFILE
BD stadium was built up over the years to finally be a full bowl by the late 60's and look at it now. It looks akin to Joe Robbie stadium which was built in the late 80's.

I agree whole hardheartedly with your sarcasm. Now can you tell that I am sooo excited for the possibility of Iowa basketball winning the big ten?
