He says in the interview he calls them.

I still don't understand why people are so up in arms over Sears. It was an interview predicated on Lazard's commitment to Iowa State. So yes, he should give Lazard several chances to say multiple times he won't be going elsewhere.

If it was an interview about what he wants to accomplish next year at Iowa State and Sears kept asking about his commitment to Iowa State, then that would be out of the context of the purpose of the interview. Again, the interview was about his recruitment and commitment to Iowa State.

Not sure who recruited him from ISU, but with the season we are having, if I were a hot recruit. I wouldn't burn any bridges at this point. Not because of Ws and Ls, but in case there are some big changes in staff after the season that I'm not comfortable with.

Im sure that interview was hard for Sears. Give him credit as a hawk fan (usually see him decked out in Iowa gear ). He was pretty fair and didnt even bring up his Hawks once!

well done

But to look at that piece of **** of a conference, and not be able to put two and two together to see a direct cause and effect, is absolutely pathetic.

So what would our record be if we played in that POS conference? Do you think this team would be 8-2 just because the competition would be slightly easier? That is definitely up for debate by the way. The Big 10 has 4 teams in the BCS rankings and the Big 12 has 3. I definitely think the Big 12 is better top to bottom but not so much better that I would call the Big 10 a piece of ****.

I am not sure how hard this is to understand. Yes, Minnesota is having a better season than we are this year. Yes they are in a ****** conference.

Iowa State is not good this year. They are not good and they have had terrible luck. Just ******* terrible. They've had injuries like none we have seen in the Rhoads era. That's bad luck. They've lost 1 game on a botched call and one game in the last seconds.

If the luck had been with Iowa STate this year, they'd only have 3 or 4 win. That would still be a ****** season, but more like a normal ****** season. Since the luck was not with Iowa State, it is way worse.

Maybe now people around here will stop their handwringing about Lazard. I know not everyone here has been, but those who have been can stop.

What would our record have been the last two years in that piece of ****? Better than 6-6. You can't have it both ways. Like those noted hawk fans that beat their chests about playing in a "real" basketball conference. No school in the country has benefited more than its from playing in a ****** football conference that has been dominated by two teams more than even the old big 8 was.

I get we're at a point where none of the good things Paul Rhoads has done can be acknowledged, or even brought up because a small group has taken over the dialog. But it is PATHETIC the little tiny bubbles some of these "fans" view the world through

None of it is hard for me to understand. I asked mikem how good we would be if we played in the pos conference he was referring to. Appreciate you taking time to explain this season to me but I certainly don't need your help seeing our football team for what they are.

The thing I don't get, WHO has one guy that they can interview Allen Lazard, the #1 recruit in the state of Iowa, and they chose Sears. Isn't that an interview that Keith or Andy would want?

A lot of people live with the "what have you done for me lately" mentality. Once Rhoads gets us back to .500 with a nice Top 25 upset, most of the bubble fans will be back on board. Hard for some people to see the forest through the trees unfortunately.

John Sears has to be the worst sports reporter or whatever he is I've ever heard. How many times did he have to ask if he was sure about committing to the Cyclones? By his tone he was trying hard to tell Lazard the clowns (his word earlier) are losers and you'll never get drafted if you go to ISU. What a hawk lover. I knew there was a reason not to listen to WHO.

I didn't get that at all from the video. I took it as there has been so much speculation in the media about Lazard decommitting because of the bad season, Sears took it as a chance to let Lazard say multiple times he would be a Cyclone. But I'm sure the negative posters will always look at things as a slight against ISU.

Agreed. Still expecting some poster to criticize Sears for not asking their version on the question.

His first year was at KCRG was my last year interning there. He kept to himself but he is a HUGE hawk fan. Hassel 2.0 except hassel is good.

Kill is a terrible example. They have done the majority of their big wins since he has stepped away. He primarily beats up on a soft schedule and hopes for 1-2 big 10 wins.

Wait, back upstream did I see a comparison of Lazard and Adam Woodbury?

I've been told that Lazard can play, have I been getting bad information?
