Exactly.
Also, Mike Leach wasn't acting as the parent of a child. He was the coach of an adult, grown-*** MAN. This wasn't a 10 year old Pop Warner football kid. This was a 20 something who was on a full ride scholarship. And for Christ's sake, he was, AT WORST, placed in a dark room for an hour knowing full well he would be let out quickly.
Leach was rail roaded out of TTU because Craig James got mad about his whiny, spoiled, lazy son's lack of playing time.
According to the emails he put in his book and deposition the worst thing he did, and this is a stretch, was put a kid with a concussion diagnosed by the trainers in the darkest coolest spot around. When I put that up against standing out in the West Texas sun, that seems pretty nice.
What the hell, I have time. I'll just give a quick rundown of facts for the sake of actually having the facts and not what ESPN reported.
-Team rule was you come to practice in your pratice gear even if not practicing
-James showed up in street clothes with a hat and sunglasses on
-Trainers told Leach he needed to be somewhere in the shade
-Closet was the closest and it was by the ice machine
-Door wasn't locked
-Adam stated he sent the video to his dad because he thought he would think it was funny
-Numerous players and coaches made statements regaurding James' attitude being less than positive.
The kid was tied up and locked in a closet with a sock in his mouth and a dog bowl of water set beside him like James wanted everyone to believe. Leach may have tried to prove a point but the kid wasn't harmed at all.
Craig James is an insufferable *****.
