Agreed. I really dont care what the person said, it doesnt matter, a player should never physically contact a fan, period. There are thousands of fans in every arena, which means there are idiots in every one of them... players have to ignore them.

OSU gonna have a 5 man rotation going into their game against UT. So yeah their season is over. They might finish behind Baylor at this point. Maybe even Tech (highly unlikely)

I don't think the punishment should be lessened based on what was potentially said. Otherwise you are saying that, at least to an extent, physical retaliation was okay. The fan should be punished too if something like that can be corroborated.

Seriously...alarson, I'm only responding to you because you are a seasoned vet around here. Yes...what Marcus Smart did was wrong. No question about it. But you cannot say "it doesn't matter what the fan said". You can't dismiss that, because if you do, we may as we'll be watching hockey. I like hockey, but I'd rather watch my basketball without plexiglass obstructing view.

Didn't Lafester Rhodes punch a Mizzou fan after chanting about his deceased mother. Iremember thinking that was warrented. I was 9 so may be completly remembering wrong. Just saying sometimes it is waranted.
