This very well could be a tale of two losers.
That doesn't justify either loser. Smart has to be suspended for multiple games, or preferably the season.
If the fan went racial, they can ban him, too, and that would be a good call.

Blaming this on the fan is like blaming the Malice at the Palace on the fan who threw the cup.

Because every man ignores having a beer thrown on him? Especially in what was already a very emotionally-charged situation? Artest obviously bears a lot of blame for that situation, but to place no blame on the person who instigates the incident isn't fair. Same deal here.

Didn't Lafester Rhodes punch a Mizzou fan after chanting about his deceased mother. Iremember thinking that was warrented. I was 9 so may be completly remembering wrong. Just saying sometimes it is waranted.

That was Jeff Grayer. There IS a line. That fan should be held accountable if he crossed it.

I don't blame the fan in that case 100% for what happened, but he does deserve a share of the blame.

I will be interested to hear what exactly was said to cause Smart to go postal like that.

Jeff Grayer had a run in with the Antlers, which used to be the Mizzou student section, when they got after his mother.

I made up a scenario for revkah that involved the fan threatening Smart's mother (again---completely fictional). If that happened, then I would chastise Smart for failing to go far enough.

Can we change the name of this thread to ***Official Marcus Smart Hits a Fan Thread***, I feel like this should be an official thread.

I think he's Techs biggest fan. I doubt he gets banned. He may get moved back for the rest of the season and all of the next but I doubt he gets banned. Considering not many people show up on a regular basis. Kicking a die hard out would not be smart.

I remember it being Jeff Grayer as well, and feeling he was completely justified. I'm surprised that more players didn't go after the Antlers, actually. Just another reason for me to hate Missouri with all my heart.

Sad that this **** example of a college athlete will steal some of the spotlight from Ejim and what a great example he is of being a student athlete and his incredible display today.

It took an hour and a half, but finally they get to some Ejim highlights.
