Not sure if this has been shared yet. To steal a line from Chris Williams.
“I find that fascinating”
Wow really? People on twitter suck. That is an awesome video...but just to be clear, that is the Curiosity rover.
If I was a single guy and they asked for volunteers to go to the red planet. I'd be in. Really cool and a great job by NASA
And power it without fossil fuels for a year, but we can't keep the US blackout free. These things still amaze me that they can send an RC car to Mars and control it from back here.

Just watched national TV news & they spent 10 minutes on Cruz in Cancun & at the end of the program they mentioned the landing for 30 seconds. Our mainstream “News” media is all about politics, sadly.
Agree. NASA budget is $23B this year.
I know people get worked up about that price tag, but there's $10B just in EITC fraud every year. You could have another half-a-NASA just on preventing that theft. Imagine if a bank/business had losses like that due to fraud lol.
At some point down the line when the rover is pretty much done and the planets are in close alignment NASA will launch a craft with the ability to remotely dock in Mars orbit with the sample probe that will launch from the surface of the rover on Mars. Eight months later? Boom. Mars dirt on Ert.
Wow really? Peopleon twittersuck.
Well the temperature range for that area is something like 70 F to -100F. So kind of like Minnesota.sounds cold as #$%^.
Could anyone provide information on how they plan to do this? If there’s a video out there, that’s be great!
FIFY lol. Yeah, you can see the name Curiosity written on the drone as it pans![]()
Agreed. It’s cool though that 72 (?) nations and private industry are all in the space exploration mix.$23 Billion. It should be 5x that. Or more. We get real value out of it -real achievement. Not just our country, but our entire species. Both in the present and for future generations to come.
