On the way up, they have lost tonight but the were fighting the entire game, something that wouldn't have happened two years ago.

Sorry but maybe if we would have fought for a few more rebounds we would be talking about a win. So when you talk about how we fought the whole game did you miss the fact that we got out rebounded by a smaller team, out hustled, and out played in this game.

So, Curtis, Will and Taggart left becuase of Mac?? That is great to hear - since they were gone no matter who we hired. As long as WM wasn't around they were gone - and no so sure they weren't gone anyway.

And as long as you are spinning, please tell me when Stinson and Taggart played in the NBA. I'll give you Blalock (for one season) barely, but didn't know Germany had an NBA team. But however you want to sell it.
Stinson will play in the NBA soon, he is one of the best D League players right now and Taggart was playing on Toronto's summer league team.

Not any more scott drew has things going. Plus Texas is really the only good school at basketball there, second best is up for grabs.

Heres proof Perry Jones - Yahoo! Sports

Yeah the kid looks like a stud, but texas has a 5 star too, a&m has two 4 stars and 2 3 stars signed, and tech i would say maybe is lagging here with 3 3 stars. But i get your point and just with we could get some better players to come here and stay and believe in this program. But back to the matter at hand sorry I got off subject.

No offense but Brackins and Gilstrap are here now and we can't win what will be different next year. Other then two players that had to choose between us smaller programs in smaller conferences.

I don't care about the NBA. This is college basketball. It's a different type of game and different type of player can succeed.

Alright I'll give you those points (as absurd as they are)..... So, Wayne Morgan went 16-14 in his final year with 3 NBA players. WOW - we should definitely get him back.

You NEVER see that kind of mass exodus on a coaching change. With the exception of Stinson they all stuck around to listen to what Mac had to say and left. Basketball is a great sport because one or two guys can turn a program around. We have game changers now and still can't win. Mac wasn't forced to sign guys like Mann and Eikmeyer who were basically a waste of time. He's learning on the fly with major college basketball and didn't surround himself with anyone that knew anything about major college basketball. It's not going to get better any time soon...

One of which was basically worthless because of a preseason illness, the other played the final three quarters of the season with a broken shooting hand.

Didn't want him back, but if I remember right, we won an NCAA tournament game and was in the Final Four of the NIT....we have not even sniffed the NIT under Mac, just saying.

Unless Coach Mac really surprizes us or finds a diamond in the rough. There is really no major talent that is interested in us at this time.

Now, I'm not on the Fire Mac bandwagon right now, I'm still wait and see, but I just haven't seen anything on the court to lead me to think this team is anything more than a first round NIT team. I think we have the talent to be much better but we aren't playing anywhere near the capabilities, and that is coaching. I wouldn't be near as upset if if we were doing things right, playing max effort and still getting beat.

I would LOVE to see the light flick on and the team all of a sudden "get it", make a run, get some pub and ride that into the future.

I can count 6 guys Mac has lost that have or will play in the NBA: Johnson, Taggart, Blaylock, Lucca (Germany), Mike Taylor, and Stinson will get his shot soon.

Taggart, Blaylock, and Stinson never played for Mac. Mac was hired and he wasn't able to talk them into staying. That is hardly his fault. If we had a coaching change last season, Brackins is gone. Is that the new coaches fault???

Lucca was not an NBA caliber player, I know you denoted he will play in Germany, but he wouldn't start at many other B12 schools. Mike Taylor has admitted more than once that he was fully responsible for his actions. Wes is the only true Grade A talent that Mac has lost.

I know you meant well but do the math.

Taggart wasn't drafted even after he left Memphis early. Doubt he makes it to the next level.

ISU Is not putting out a good product. It's depressing because we want them to win so badly. I don't need top 10, but play hard and smart and over achieve. If that us not the Coaches responsibility who's is it? I really hope we get a passionate team soon. Clone fans deserve it.

Both of which are excuses that would never pass with Mac. Never. Funny how that works.

This is about how I feel.

Part of me thinks that McD can learn and turn the program around in the future, and the other part of me says there are fundamental issues with this team. I am no insider, but it sure seems there is team chemistry problems or an overall lack of mental toughness.
