Re: Midlands?

Updated standings as of 6:15.

1. Iowa - 46.5
2. Iowa State - 42.5
3. Missouri - 41.5
4. Central Michigan 32.5
5. Lehigh - 31.5

http://www.themat1.com/midlandsstandings.pdf

We have 8 in the championship bracket and 2 in wrestlebacks. Iowa has 8 and 1, respectively.

then beard must be earning points for us???? i'm confused. that link does show us having 12 in the quarters, but this one:
http://www.cyclones.com/fls/10700/STATS/LiveStats/WR/midlands.html
shows us with 8 total wrestlers(one of whom is beard) in the quarters. by that reasoning, beard is earning us points.

Re: Midlands?

I think they are just leaving Z off by accident I'm sure he is scoring for us and not Beard. Beard is red shirting this season so he can't score points.

Anyone can score points for you at Midlands. You could have 10 scorers at one weight class.

Hell, Bono cost us midlands last year by wrestling himself.

Re: Midlands?

true anyone can score for you however a wrestler who is red shirting is ineligable to wrestle for a school. So he has to be unattached.

Re: Midlands?

I don't know for sure, but it had weatherman vs st. John on there and then it took it down. later found out that weatherman was medical forfitting. hope Z is ok, and that this is not the case.

Re: Midlands?

The Northwestern brackets still show Z vs. Ellis (Missouri -- big match) in the quarters.

Iowa 74.5
ISU 60
Missouri etc...........9:15 pm
Points mid-round are very deceiving.

We look to be in good shape -- 6 in the semi's and 2 or 3 still in cons. I *think* it's done for tonight -- still waiting on the final team scores from the night.

Hey I may have asked this before, but I may try to make it tomorrow. Does anyone know if walk up tickets are easy to get?

Re: Midlands?

not a great chance to beat iowa, however we have had a good tourny lots of underclassman with some good showings, and we are even scoring a lot of bonus points. It would have been really close if we had a healthy nick gallick.

Re: Midlands?

I would like to go to this event sometime, wrestling events are usually pretty exciting. Has anyone been? My only concern is that it will be as difficult to follow what's going on there as it is from home. Other than the NCAA's or National Duals, this is probably the premier wrestling event of the year, why is it so hard find out what's going on?

Don't take this the wrong way. I was updating my computer all afternoon and evening last night trying to keep up.

However, it's so hard to find out what's going on because it isn't football or basketball. Oh yeah, it doesn't help that it's headed up by Northwestern.
