Frankly, Deace should be ashamed of what he said about LaRon Dendy today.

For those of you who didn't hear - He is so sure that LaRon will get in some off-court problem before next basketball season that he was willing to bet Miller a car on it. Honestly, I was offended and that takes a lot to do.

Deace needs to keep his attention focused on Michigan. At least that's something he cares about and isn't just filling time with.

My suggestion is to pair Jon up with Ken and drop the AM local slot. I don't get a chance to listen to Murph and Fales - so I can't say. But maybe put them in the AM slot where people can hear them.

Here is how you can tell if your successful in radio in Iowa.....people talk about you. I've seen constant subjects lately about Miller and Deace. On the other hand I rarely hear about the other 4 that are on in the afternoon. I have to think their ratings have tanked.

Mac is trying to help LaRon...Comments like that **** me off.

I felt Deace went over the line today. I realize he has to complain about McDermott, no problem with that, Greg is fair game, but he really dragged a couple of the players into it he didn't need to.

Ding Ding Ding! You also rarely hear about any of the programs on 1700AM, which is coincidental since 1460AM's rating is much higher than 1700AM's...

The worst part is he has no idea what Mac said to LaRon...Deace is just spouting crap.

Do they have a podcast? If not please tell me who else he was dragging down. What ******* reason does he have to drag Dendy through the mud? Maybe I missed something but has he had legal trouble of the court?

A few years ago before he went to WHO radio, Deace was running a cyclone website or magazine. I think he stays informed about Cyclone athletics. I don't agree with him all of the time, especially this time, but I enjoy listening to him. And Jon is my third favorite hawkeye fan. (I only have three of them), and I despise the rest.

Good post IB.

mission accomplished for Deace/Miller.

Very true, they are getting listeners and that is fine with me. I listen to things that engage me and something I disagree with engages me. The fact is though that Deace was out of line today and he has no connection to ISU but pretends to be a fan.

That is what made me laugh this morning. Deace talking about what it takes to run a successful business/athletic program. Cyclone Nation sucked big time when Deace owned/operated it. Another example of Deace casting stones without looking in the mirror.

As many have expressed, Deace is not an ISU balance to Miller. I get extremely frustrated with his holier-than-thou attitude toward young men based soley on a supposition on his part. He likes to spout off about how his life is such a perfect example to follow, but then is the first to put his foot on someone's neck about how they "might" act. Apparently the "judge not, lest ye be judged" lesson wasn't in his study materials.

For those who don't want to read the whole OP, Microsoft Word can Auto Summarize. Here's Word's take on the most important 10% of the OP:

Yesterday's show was especially interesting as I learned MORE about what makes those two gentlemen tick than the previous years watching them on TV. Radio can sell and convey things that are impossible on TV. Thanks Mediacom! Now go suck an egg.

Wonderful! Did you hear the thunderous "quiet" as in the absence of a responce from Mr. Deace when Mr. Miller was speaking emotionally?

Mr. Miller, you fit the "mold" of a true Hawkeye. In short, your show is unique. Mr. Deace takes alot of heat for being a Michigan fan. We MUST stop rewarding SUCKING! Randy Dunkin!!!

This post will end up being rather long and I have no back or chest hair as a good man keeps it worn off IB

First while I don't think I disagree with your post I couldn't get beyond the beginning. I kept wondering who is the good man who keeps your chest hair worn off and what is he doing that wears it off. Just sayin...:skeptical:

Haha great point! Does anyone know any other businesses Deace has run and what his success with them was? I just want to make sure he is "accountable" to his analysis of running multi-million dollar institutions.

Was the "Cyclone Times" one?...I might be wrong.

He will have excuses why he couldn't succeed doing that. He has far too big of an ego to admit he failed.

He and Jon were involved in some mortgage venture out in Adel, IIRC. Not sure what came of that or exactly how involved they were.

I remember when Deace pimped it during his slot on the State of the Nations Mediacom show a few years back. Apparently to display his disgust with something ISU.

Mr. iowaboy, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
