Those guys don't necessarily speculate. Usually they know something. And honestly, this was one of the first things I thought of too.

Maybe Naz will go wherever TJ ends up next year.

Let's just say this: If you thought of it, you should disagree with yourself. If a reporter thinks of the same thing as you, you should disagree with both of you.

They actually rarely know anything and very much speculate.

Iowa State fans nuts if they think Cyclones gonna be very good next year. Probably same naive ones who thought Hoiberg would turn down Bulls

Yeah, he's way off with that assumption.

Are we preseason top 10 again? Heck no. Are we likely dancing again by end of season with what we have coming back. Definitely.

I don't think Monte leaves, just not enough hype for him to guarantee 1st round pick. Him, Naz, Burton, Mallou and we have another solid team.

Goodman definitely could have worded that tweet a lot better. And now he's doubling down and guaranteeing they won't be in the tournament next season. I don't think he's TOTALLY wrong, obviously it will hurt a lot to lose these guys but it's not out of the question that ISU will be a tournament team next year.

Sucks but hey it does make me feel a little better about next years team. While I'm slightly concerned hip issues could linger I think a lot the issues here stemmed from a pretty aggressive recovery time frame, time off should help that. I don't care what Goodman says, if Morris is back that an NCAA tourney team next year, and probably one with a good seed. Without him, yeah things are a bit more questionable, as ISU would be lacking proven players in both the frontcourt and at PG.
