Makes all the sense if she is interested in a Grad Program ISU doesn't offer or she is just looking for a new adventure/experience.

I wish her the best.
That’s fair, I was simply speaking basketball wise

Simply basketball wise I don’t see her getting a better opportunity

She would have been the presumed starter playing with one of the best backcourts in the country, makes no sense imo

Especially with Soares not getting the waiver

Meh she's going to grad school and probably for real like wanting the degree, find the best combo of scholarship and grad program and get that degree for free/reduced cost. These gals have been playing ball since grade school more than likely. No problem with the moving on with their lives.

It would be interesting the conversations Kane has had with former Cyclones like Madison Wise and Madison Frederick. Both dropped down from a competition standpoint, but maybe ended up in a town/area they want to live long term.

Yes, I don't get this. Hope its just a great young lady wanting to move on like her classmates and nothing else. Wish they could somehow just come out and say 'why' and 'what' their plan/goal is. Then speculation doesn't exist. But I guess that's not realistic. Wish her the best. Hope Bill finds a 'couple' down low players in the portal. Doubt Audi will be ready yet at this stage. She'll have 6'5" girls in her face in the big12 unlike high school.

True. After Bill came down the ladder after cutting down the net in KC, he immediately put it around Morgan's neck! She smiled and in less than a minute, put the net on the Big 12 trophy.
And to me, Morgan too quickly lifted the net off herself and draped it around the championship hardware. True to her nature, as if to state, it is not on my account but a team thing.

This - Morgan, is a Kinesiology and Health major. The only two master's programs ISU offers in Kinesiology and Health are Athletic Training and Kinesiology.

Many Kinesiology majors go into healthcare (physical therapy), and ISU offers nothing.

Watching the conf champ game vs Texas, I thought that was the best game I have ever seen her play BY FAR. She was dynamite.

She has probably been my favorite player the last couple of years so I am sad to see her go, but I hope she gets everything she is looking for - she deserves it.

Diew has probably been a close second the last year+ for me, but Fritz was quickly making up ground the second half of the season.

These women have been fun to watch.

So if that is the case, I see nothing wrong with just saying that in a public statement. It would actually compliment her. Fans would be proud and happy for her that she's still into basketball but has a career goal even bigger to seek a transfer. Why is it always just "MK will be entering the transfer portal & use her covid year elsewhere" ?

Maybe she got upset when Bill said we played without our two best Post players.
Not a great thing for him to have said.

Agree, thought that was strange comment and unlike Bill

I liked Kane as much as the next guy. Great teammate and made some nice plays down the stretch. That being said, I think Bill could probably do better in the post and Kane can find more PT elsewhere.

If you paid attention to his comments about Kane you'd know there is nothing to this. I has always given her praise. I think all of this is "nothing to see here" type of thing.
Probably true - just not the best thing to say imo

Mostly tongue in cheek comment.

What can you count on in life? Death, taxes and acoustimac coming to the defense of CBF! First, as with any coach, what CBF says in public is likely self-serving and should be taken with a grain of salt. Second, it's well established his sharp tongue and coaching style isn't well-received by every player. He can be both a fine coach and an "icehole" - a younger co-worker told me this morning CBF was so described by a successful tall post player we would all consider a success story.

When you have contributing players leaving a successful program with eligibility remaining, it's acceptable to wonder why, and it's not necessary to believe it's for a different graduate program just because that's the convenient narrative. Maybe after four years, they're just tired of walking on eggshells and getting yanked from games the second they commit a turnover.

You say there's "nothing to see here", to which I respond, "where there's smoke, there's fire."

P.S. I'm just having fun here - it's a long off-season and I enjoy talking about ISU women's hoops! I like Mac's game write-ups and know how much he loves the team. Somebody wrote, "Bill is ISU athletics" in another thread, and that's where we part company. I love ISU and ISU Women's Basketball, but NOBODY is bigger than the franchise, including CBF. JMHO.

I would have agreed with you until the Donarski news. There is definitely something wrong in Fennelly world. And I have always wanted him here. But what the heck? Please don't say they are getting contacted with NIL $. Surely thats not overboard yet in the womens game.

This one is a puzzler. Most other transfers were easy to understand. This one…not so much.

I started laughing at the end…yeah…I may seem like I defend Fennelly, but if you read my summaries I’m not afraid to call out questionable game strategies. Those are things we see first hand and can talk about. Stuff like this where we have zero insight or access everything is pure conjecture.

As Boxter mentioned…even if one of my inside sources told me something…it’s not my place to share that info here unless told I could do so.
