I only get to one or two games a year. Last night was the first time I had been to a game since the first game of last season.
The first thing I noticed was during the player introductions. During the intro for OSU they kept the music playing over the PA system. Kinda drowns out the whole "5 claps" thing, which I always thought was kinda cool. I always thought it came off as "We're only clapping for you out of courtesy". With the music going it just doesn't seem the same.
I got tickets in one of the "donation required" areas through ticket exchange, so I thought I would be sitting among some "actual" fans. However, most of what I heard were negative comments. "Why do they let him shoot?", "When are you gonna start guarding that guy?", "Stop Fouling!", "Try making a free throw!". I realize they didn't play their best game last night, but there were some nice plays made and I never once heard a "Nice pass", or "Good defense", or anything from these guys. One guy threw his hat on the floor at one point. Just makes me wonder what they expect.
