No the best college team would'nt come close to beating any pro team. Now you are just putting words into my mouth. You can't honestly believe that the players try at all times in the NBA and go 110% on defense though.

No they don't try 100% on defense all the time during the regular season, but even when they aren't trying their absolute hardest they are still much better than the defense played in the B12.

Exactly. People forget that JJ Redick averaged 27 points a game in college. And that is in the ACC, not in the MWC. And JJ is nothing more than a role player in the NBA. And while JJ isn't a good defender, he is miles better than Jimmer

Redick was actually sort of impressive this year. He has really improved. Still a role player but a pretty good role player. I would say he's better all around than Korver, for instance.

JJ wasn't a miles better defender than Jimmer in college though. There were just as many people saying he could never play defense in the NBA and he's made himself into an average at worst defensive player. Also Redick did play in a tougher conference but he had two other NBA players on his team at Duke. Jimmer didn't have near the same quality of teammates, he's also a much better ball handler and passer than JJ was.

JJ Redick played for Coach K. He played defense. Was it great? No. But Jimmer's defense was non existant. He couldn't stop me.

JJ is taller and a better shooter. That alone gives him a spot in the NBA. What is Jimmer's role? He isn't going to be able to get around guys in the NBA. And he's too short to be a spot up shooter

exactly, the talent on offense is just better than in college ball. more playmakers, more speed, etc.

What does that mean? Greg Paulus played for Coach K and spent four years getting abused by opposing pgs. Why is he too short to be a spot up shooter? Mike Bibby was in the top 10 in the NBA in 3 pointers made and he's 6'2 and Jimmer is a better shooter than him.

I don't think Jimmer is going to be an All Star but I think he can be a good 7th or 8th guy and give you 15-20 points on any given night if he's feeling it.
