If each nfl team had a lower level affiliate like in baseball, I think they should but it up to four or when you get your degree, because at that point football players are going for an educationI agree. And get rid of the stupid two years of college requirement before going pro.
I try to look at this as a positive for ISU. Recruiting advantages over non-power 5 schools, and we could potentially get some things that would really benefit us. Rhoads has talked about how not being able to pay for a recruits family to attend official visits is a huge road block for us. Maybe that's something that will change under the new autonomy
It would be interesting to see the steep dropoff for the non-power 5 schools.
While I don't particularly like it, I do think it has the potential to help us. We could get a real advantage over the non-Power 5 teams with which we compete for recruits. Not sure how much extra put full cost of attendance would have for a Texas kid versus going to Rice, Houston, or SMU but it certainly could help.
