CWC newsletter has 1 and 2 switched on projected seeds. Goettl wrestling OU.

Saw that. I'm updating the seeds in the preview. They both have a decent argument for the #1 seed but I'll defer to the guy who is going to be in the seeding meeting.

Sounds like there may be 3 bids going back to the At Large pool, but not confirmed.

For NC State in the ACC, Kevin Jack wrestling instead of Sam Speno at 141
Also Short of Minnesota didn't get a preseed for the Big 10 at 149, but not sure if he is wrestling
At 197 in the EIWA, Fox of Harvard doesn't appear in preseeds

These are from Seton Hall Pirate

Sounds like Jake Short is wrestling, but Hunter Stieber bumped him from the preseeds

Thanks for the info. I'll wait to make any changes to the lists until tournaments start but its good to have everything all in one place. That extra spot at 141 is good for Dante. He's not at much risk of getting bumped, but every extra spot gives more margin for error. Now if only we could have some more guys at 125 back out, since Larson does need some help.

I like how at 125, the 1 and 2 seeds don't get first round byes but the 7 and 8 seeds do.

First round byes are bad in wrestling though. You lose the chance to earn team points and get a good warm up match against a (hopefully) inferior opponent. The pigtails we have had the last few years at NCAAs have netted us a decent chunk of points.

Pigtails are fine if it is seeded out further. I have seen some pretty tough pigtail matches at NCAA.

On the topic of Todd Preston III, esq. of Harvard, he injury defaults out of EIWAs after getting hurt during the quarterfinals. Depending on the injury, that could be one at large spot at 141 being sucked up.

EIWA 125 has gone to chalk as far as the semifinals. They only have three spots at that weight so that's good for Larson.

Just updated the EIWA post. At 157 and 197 the guys in the semis are locked into being no worse than 6th place and have cashed in their NCAA tickets.

At 157, EIWA takes 7, but 3rd seeded Staudemeyer lost then defaulted out of tourney.

Which might be an at large gone for Goettl's chances if it is an injury he can come back from in two weeks, but the EIWA still keeps the spot since he made weight and took the mat.

Moore from Iowa just lost in the first round at 165 at Big Tens to an unranked guy from Purdue
