Those who remember the Big 8...the dirty playing of Nebraska was cultural....passed on from seniors to freshman....the extra chip in the back at the whistle...the spitting in the scrum. Big 8 referees let them get away with it. Not anymore.....It is just wierd to still them making late hits and cheap shots....

The referees rock....if the roughing the passer was marginal...the hands to the face to the center on same play was certainly bush league unsportsmanlike and flag-worthy. Referees are NOT afraid of Nebraska fan base and calling a good game....I wish Big12 basketball referees would call Kansas games like this
