Just call him whatever you feel like for the first couple years and then ask him what he wants to be called. Maybe you'll get yourself a little Frankenstein..

After reading the names you told your wife. I think you are trying way to hard. When u name a kid ask yourself if you would want to be called that. I would hate if someone named me something like pascal. Go with a good name like mike, steve or andrew. Quit trying so hard to he different. Kid uas to live with that name for ever

She has already knixed many of the names I came up with, evgeni, pavel, anze, etc. she definitely doesn't want our son playing hockey after saying no to those.
.

nice choices..... NOT

I know a girl who named their boy 'Brausden' ...the kid is a wimp at age 4

really tired of zach, jason, jed, jake, Jacob, Owen, Gage, Luke, or any other MOUNTAIN name/little house on the Prairie name/mormon name/Amish name

and sick of ryan, Justin, dustin, Wesley ...............NO...........h#ll no

Or the equally light-in-the-loafer 70's names like Kevin, Steve, Scott, Jeff

most 'Jeffs' I know are d%cks. The other three are annoying people as well.

The worst? I have come across three families (no Iowa grads between the 3 sets of parents)
........Their boys' name? Hayden, Nile, Kinnick. .........puke

How ''bout good old fashions saint names??

James
Joseph
Michael
John

you can't go wrong with those four

this what we did when our son was born 4 yrs ago. My dad's name is Charles, we named our son Charles, and call him Charlie

Vincent is a pretty cool classic name that doesn't seem to be used often anymore. Like Charles/Charlie has a legitimate and normal sounding Vincent/Vince option.

Steve.

My wife and I are having our first boy in about two weeks and are struggling finding a good name. My wife is much pickier than I am because she has taught for nine years.

I've been looking online for names but figured the cyclone fanatic family would be more helpful.

If we were going to have a boy, he was going to be Kyle James. Had all girls instead. Careful with Chuck, as I know from experience it rhymes with a LOT of words.

Search for "George Carlin - Guys Named Todd" on YouTube....that should help you out.

(I'd post the video...not sure if the language would suffice to those who monitor these forums).

Doctor Quinn and Medicine Woman are great names for girls.

Walker and Texas Ranger for boys.

My next door neighbor is a hawk fan and just named their boy Nile Kinnick (first and middle names). My wife is due in September with a boy and I'm trying to convice her to name him Jack Trice.

Please tell me you're kidding on both accounts.

Also, just make sure the name would fit a professional of some sort someday. No need for the name to make a statement; let the child do that.

We named our boy Davin. We get a lot of "oh...Gavin" comments though. My biggest fear was having something that kids can use to rhyme or make fun of in grade school (ie: Chuck) and we wanted something that was not too crazy, but not too popular.

He'll never find his name on the rack of little plastic license plates, but that's ok with us.

Ugh, poor kid. My wife's niece just gave her son the middle name of Nile. Yes, after Nile Kinnick. Here is the worst part. She and her husband both went to UNI, her husband was employed by ISU, her brother is currently a student at ISU, her parents are ISU fans, we went to ISU, it goes on and on. It just makes me sad, to think how badly I will haze that child its entire life.
