Did I read right that there is going to be a separate trophy for FB, MBB and WBB? Why not have three trophys with 3 different pieces of farm equipment? They would look good all next to each other in the trophy case.
Seeder. harverster, tractor?

If they changed the farmer to Lattimer and switched the corn with decapitated heads, then you would have something!

You think they would have shown a drawing of the trophy to see what people thought of it before they made the decision to go with that piece of crap.

When they designed this, thye actually had a family pose for the greation of the statue. The father was quoted as saying, "Son, this is corn, you've seen it before but these dumbasses want us to sit here and act like we're really impressed by it. I think they plan to use this as a design for the new Cy-Hawk trophy.....if you play football in college, you'll be going to Missouri."

Agreed. I think it might be time for Iowa State and Iowa to start thinking about removing Iowa Corn Growers as the sponsor for the series. This thing has turned into a failure of EPIC proportions and the only people that seemed pleased are these jackoffs at Iowa Corn Growers. I hope they like the amount of negative publicity that they have showered on themselves but more importantly on Iowa State University as well as the U of I. :mad:

Oh, and I'm absolutely on board with throwing this game and cancelling the series after this season. I love the Iowa game and think it could be extremely important for this seasons bowl hunt, but nothing would stick it to Iowa better than making them keep that ugly thing. Forever.

WOW... who honestly we was like... "Man, that's a GREAT trophy...." That is embarrassing... I want to beat the Hawks, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to look at that garbage in the Jacobson building...

I say win it, and put it in the closet...

What if when the trophy was presented, everyone in the stadium started laughing, reguardless of who won the game? Or, since the goalposts are indestructible, what if the fans snatched this from the hands of the celebrating Cyclones and dumped it in Lake Laverne?

Why des every image of the Iowa Farmer have to look like its from 1940. Put something new and progressive on the trophy that represents the state and farming. Why would a farmer have a basket full of corn? Hmm what should I haul my corn in, oh I know, great grandpas bushel basket. I cant wait for the kids to see these giant ears, they can play w/ them for weeks.

A giant ear of corn would have been fine, then we could have thrown corn at the players like the oranges at the orange bowl and roses at the rose bowl.
