Parker & Lyle started a game or 2 together before Parker's knee injury put him out the rest of the year. Last year's starters really were Lyle & Neal. I think Parker can be just as good, if not better, then Lyle was last year and I fully expect Neal to be better then he was last year too (has put on 15lbs of muscle).
As far as our interior DL, the coaches have been raving about how much Rump has progressed and how dominating he has been in practice. Same thing has been said about Bailey Johnson the past week of practice. At 6'5 & 290, Jake M is a beast of a man in the middle. We are looking to have a solid rotation in the middle of the DL.
I think the potential is there to have a better DL then we did last year. Let's see if they can put it all together on the field.
Nope, they are the same guys, so they can't be any better than they were last year.
I also think that Maggit, Moore, and Lattimer have improved and will give us more/better depth than we had last year. When Parker went down last year, Neal had a hard time filling in right away at his pervious weight.
Overall I think the whole DL has improved top to bottom and CPR himself has said that they can go 9-10 deep. I like hearing that.
