Yep...it's called brand building. Which Iowa State desperately needs.

I like the new package of marks pretty well, but I have not been too impressed with how the university is controlling their usage. With so many variations of the logo, the door is open to misuse.

Our next logo should include breasts. If that won't sell shirts - nothing will.

And, this would require an extensive search to find the right breasts to model after. We'd search high and low for th-...well...maybe not low...but you get the idea.

And what size will the stuff come in: S,M, L, LXX or one size fits all?

If you are talking about not allowing people to use logos that are close in appearence to ours, cause when Wisconsin made Waukee switch I thought that was pretty classless. Whenever I went to another state, I would always wear my cyclone polo that said Iowa State in it instead of just cyclones, because I am not sure people recognize our logo yet! Kind of two different posts there, but I am half way watching the NCAA womens volleyball final four, Huskers just won, and if Stanford wins, I win my pool, that's right! Volleyball pools!

Its not improbable, but to release any merchandise with incorrect colors and logo to conflict with the future sporting events would not make sense.

Oh Joy! Maybe we can look forward to having school colors that don't match! ala KU football from a couple years ago.

I was at Scheels today and saw Nike finally has a pullover for us and some new hats sporting the older retro strutting CY.

I think it might be cool to make an alternate logo turning our current "whirlybird" cy into a walking cy, but honestly i like the "tazmanian" cy just the way he is:yes4lo:
