I know I’m in the vast minority and I’ll get ‘dumbed’ like crazy on this post, but I’m gonna say it.

I think the juicy wiggle is lame as hell and I kinda hate that it’s become our thing.

Had to get that off my chest, I know no one agrees but let me hear the hate

Edit: I love that it’s something that gets our crowd going and I don’t want them to stop but it’s just so cringey to me. During the okie st 2011 game they played “we ready” and got everyone so amped. Swag surfin is great too
Juicy cringe

I have no major complaints about Jackie since the first game. My only issue is that it is a bad idea to get fans to scream “Go Cyclones” into a mic.

I just wish everyone was told beforehand, the mic is going the heavy lifting of making your voice louder. You do not need to raise your voice. It just makes the audio quality worse. Axe the fans yelling into the mic for the UCF game please.

Still would’ve been nice to have a cyclone fan for a host, if you wanted a hok to do it they could’ve at least had “Hawkeyes on my belly” so we all got a laugh when he appeared on the jumbo.

I love that the fans like it and that it gets the crowd fired up. My personal opinion is just that it’s pretty cringey and lame and wish we had something different. Felt that way for a bit just wanted to get it off my chest, not trying to start a campaign to end it

Juicy Wiggle is an organic, original, authentically ISU thing and that alone makes it awesome. It’s fair to say the dance sucks though. Purdue does a very similar dance, idk who stole it from who.
Juicy Wiggle is great. Would be so much better if we went away from the dance with it. The WVU night game when everyone had their cell phone lights on was peak Juicy Wiggle.

I have always liked "I hear you knocking" for occasion when opponent gets in your red zone. Especially if turned away. Tempo for that song will have people moving in the stands.

It has become a challenge between me & my granddaughter at the basketball games (she comes to those with us). We only have two seats for FB; spouse and granddaughter went because I was under the weather; he made her do it without me & sent me video proof. :D

I am of the opinion that no one wants to see me doing the Juicy Wiggle but husband harasses me into it

The crowd engagement is the best I've ever seen....my one gripe about the environment though is they still are pumping in music between each play....LET THE BAND PLAY.

The stuff they do during the media timeouts to keep fans engaged is awesome, but the blasting rap music in between each play is annoying to me.
Band can play before/after game, at halftime, and between quarter breaks, we don't need more. I don't love every song that was played between plays but it helped keep up the energy when we were on defense. As someone else said, make sure to cut it off when there is a penalty announcement, sucks to not be able to hear what is being said during what is a very important part of the game.

I'm glad they switched the order of things going into the 4th. They'd been doing the Bruce Buffer "It's Time" bit and then rolling into Shaboozey as the media timeout wound down. Great song, but, that flow doesn't exactly get and keep people amped.

Idk they won't even let them play after successful PAT's anymore.....if I were the band director I'd be mad....don't replace the band with music being blasted on the PA system

The band gets to play the fight song when the team runs out - completely ruining the vibe/mood as the team enters in from the tunnel. That ALONE should disqualify the "band director" from complaining, about anything, ever.

Oh sweet the team is coming down the tunnel! Music is loud, fans are clapping, everyone is AMPED. Granted, the new Thunderstruck decision absolutely sucks (sorry, it is not a pump-up song and the ONE thing Cyclone fans do at elite level is unison-clapping, which coincidentally cannot be done to freaking Thunderstruck) - but whatever, still pumped. Team runs out and... BOOM - stop all music, let's let the band play the fight song that no one can hear. Buzz officially killed.

They put out this huge survey last summer and they had to keep this really dorky and mood-killing thing about the football entrance huh?

Maybe more people liked it than not, and you were outnumbered?

Jackie sure wants to be noticed though. The toilet bristle fohawk, the bling all over her shirt and even her shoes. For a minute I also thought her microphone was blinged!

I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating crackers though… but I would have headphones or earplugs in so I wouldn’t have to hear her.

I understand the gripes with the Juicy Wiggle. When I first heard that we were using it, it really seemed like something that was being forced and figured it would be a flop. After being to many Cyclone games since, it's honestly one of the best things we do. I did not care for the song at all, but in my almost 50 years of Cyclone fandom, it's the best thing I've ever seen as far as getting JTS really rocking. Even without them showing the banner/flag in the student section, you knew they were playing it on TV because the cameras were all shaking like crazy and looked like they were filming an earthquake.

I get that some people are just going to complain about everything and tell us how they could do it better, but just embrace it and have fun with it. The Juicy Wiggle is one of those songs now that every time I hear it outside of JTS, it puts me right back in the stands and puts a smile on my face. It especially takes me back to that ass-whoopin' we put on Texas in 2021.

The band doesn't even play their own walk out music. They have that video and music on the PA system. Granted, the video is well produced with the rain on the headgear, and the closeup of the cfVmb pin and stuff, but they are a band, they should play themselves onto the field. That's the one that makes no sense to me.
