A PG doesn't need to be a scorer.

I guess we're going to have to disagree on that one. A PG needs to be able to shoot well enough that their defender can't sag off of them 6 feet like they did against Diante at the end of the year. That defender was often sitting around the free throw line clogging the lane for anyone else. I don't expect a 15ppg contribution but we need someone that the defenders respect.

Looks like an undersized Craig-erz. Would probably play the 4 with or w/o Craig next year. But yes, he looks like he is more of a SF body.

I've seen our new 09 recruit play...

I will comply with the forum "rules" and not mention his name, but I can tell you this. I have seen several of his teams' games as I live in close proximity to the school he is departing. He is not, nor should he be, considered a replacement for Brackins. I too was impressed by all his high school success, but when I saw him play, I was not the least bit impressed.

Yes, I realize he has dealt with an injury that I won't detail so as to continue hiding the identity, but when he finally did see the floor, he showed no signs of physical limitation. He simply wasn't good enough to play. He played limited minutes and struggled on the defensive end of the floor. He plays too upright and lacks strength to be a true power player. Not only did he not start, he was 3rd or 4th guy off the bench and rarely scored.

Hopefully he will prove me wrong, but having seen several of his games, I don't see how he is going to contribute much, unless he truly is a long way from being healthy.

Since Mac says the 4 and 5 are largely the same for him, he'd go great side-by-side with Craig. Either one could float inside or outside. It could make for a very versatile offense. If Gilstrap can penetrate, we know that Garrett/Buckley can penetrate, Lucca/Eik/Christopherson could see a lot of nice open looks out there.

The whole thing gets me excited, and I didn't even include Colvin in that mix.

he was just posting his opinion.

maybe he is right, maybe he is wrong, who knows? time is the only telling factor. I am glad that I-State has another possible big 12 basketball player, I don't think anyone on here wants them see someone not succeed at Iowa State, but it doesn't mean you have to believe every recruit will be a knockout get.

Based on his numbers at his current school, what makes everyone think he is going to be a Big 12 player. He seems to be lacking what we have needed for years - a big man with a body for the Big 12. The closet is already full of broomsticks.
