Is there something we can do for you?...not sure what cyismydog did wrong other that break the news a little earlier than the staff would have liked.

or should we stop posting all together?

I'm excited people want to come to ISU. I just think if he was as good as what you're hoping him to be, he would've been signed somewhere earlier... Maybe it's just question marks regarding the injury?

I don't really care if you guys post. It just cracks me up how dead wrong you've been on almost every recruit we've got. Credibility is totally lost. Don't take it personal. I mean Chris Mortensen lost all credibility over the past year or so on ESPN as well.

No need to worry about over hyping this one up though as Dendy just said he's going to be better than Carroll.

According to many on here we've got Fizer (Brackins), Sullivan (Lucca), Paul Shirley (Justin Hamilton), and we're now adding Tinsley (Colvin), Carroll (Dendy). We also have Steph Curry (Eikmeyer) coming off the bench as well.

All of the above is a combination of what the "insiders" are saying and it's obvious we don't have this amount of talent.

Now will we be better? Of course, adding these guys will make us a lot better and I'd expect us to finish middle of the pack next year. But once we have pieces to go dancing, all of you want Final 4. You gotta crawl before you walk and so many on here are missing that.

Wow. Is it that hard to take these prediction with a grain of salt? I find it to be quite simple. I'm not pissed at the world when guys don't pan out to message board geeks' (not a slam...I am one) predictions.

I still like to hear about the players.

I pass along information...Interpret it how you choose.

If you don't like it...Fine - If you don't agree with it...Fine - I'm not losing sleep.

I will tell you one thing...I have no idea who you are, but I do know that I read your posts, as many others do...and you have proven yourself clueless. Which is why, most of the time, I don't even bother trying to explain things to you. Your knowledge of the game is very shallow.

My question is, why do you care? If you've read this board for more than a month it's easy to pick out who the haters are and who the homers are and you can temper their expectations and projections based on that. If posting was only about being right there would be about 3 posts a day on this site.

I didn't say Eik was in Curry's league, I said that they have similar games. They have very similar styles of play, and I never said Eik would be as good as Curry. The Carrol (Dendy) comparison came from Dendy himself, Hamilton will probably be better than Shirley in the long run, etc. etc. I never, ever, compared Colvin to Tinsley, and neither did KG...it's time you learned to read and interpret instead of filtering it through your narrow viewpoint of how things should be.

Again?? Really? At least I provide some substance to my posts. You can disagree all you want, but if you can't counter it or have your own thoughts, step off!

Substance? Where did you provide that? Your "facts" are vague and painted with broad strokes. At best, you're exaggerating the praise incoming recruits have been given.

Most people here realize it will take a player 1-3 years to gain the body and experience needed to be a valuable contributor in the Big 12. Comparing a recruit's game to a well-known standout player is pretty common as well - but most people realize it's a comparison of style of play and not an account of their current ability.

Maybe you're taking things a bit too literally, because most here are not so offended by the "insider" information.

kg-cyclone & cyismydog,

Thanks for all the great posts and information. I have really enjoyed the information you have passed along, many times sooner and more accurate than some "experts" on other sites.

I am a homer when it comes to recruiting. I personally beleive all of our recruits are going to be good for us.
On the other hand I am probably considered a hater because I melt down after loses.

For the record Dendy was not top 70 in the country because he sucked.

I pass along information...Interpret it how you choose.

If you don't like it...Fine - If you don't agree with it...Fine - I'm not losing sleep.

If you actually really read when I'm getting at, I'm not really trying to bash you guys. I am more bashing those who put 100% stock into what you're saying without seeing for themselves.

It cracks me up when you say that my knowledge of the game is very shallow. I watch probably 2 or 3 college basketball games per week sprinkled in with some NBA games. I come from Minneapolis where Hopkins/Minnetonka games not only sell out but have scalpers. The problem is that too many of you are watching high school basketball in Iowa which is historically pretty poor in producing Division I BCS talent. I actually had friends and classmates who were going to Marquee programs, so I've seen some of the recruiting and such.

You can say what you want about me having shallow knowledge for the game. I bet I watch more so than most on this board. The truth is that I can evaluate players without being emotionally caught up in it as a fan. Which is why I tick off so many of you probably. If I think a player isn't going to be good, I am not rooting against them, or hoping they aren't good. I'm just telling it how it is.

I would like to know how you come off as thinking you're basketball knowledge is so superior to mine when I can find post after post after post with you being dead wrong about things.

In the end, everyone is wrong from time to time and I am as well. Different from you, however, I don't advertise myself as an insider. People aren't coming for me on the "inside" scoop. If they did, I would have a responsibilty for either a) doing a better job OR b) saying that I don't know as much as people want to try to give me credit for. You do neither.

I know people like your posts and all of that and I am just trying to caution them by taking what you say with a grain of salt, since it's been so long since you've been correct about a recruit.

Not at all. Do you want me to link the posts comparing our guys to these all-americans?

I actually find quite a few that post on here don't really watch all that much, therefore they aren't offended...
