New uniforms = Ronald McDonald?

are you aware that Oregon has a new helmet almost every game. If they knew they wanted new jerseys why not get some new helmets to go with them?

$115M to $62M. Do you think ISU needs to be just a tad bit more frugal than an athletic department with that large of a budget and one that has a very close relationship with a company that makes uniforms?

Yes because of the helmets. Solid colors with different colored helmets in football suck IMO with a small number of exceptions.

These are by far not the ugliest Uniforms ever devised. So I wouldn't get too worked oup about it.

One guy makes a comment about McDonald's and we are being laughed at nationally?

Beating your kid with a switch is bad publicity. Losing to FCS teams annually is also bad publicity. Most alternate uniforms are pretty ugly, imo, so no, this is just publicity, not bad publicity. And since no one nationally really knows who ISU is, how can they be laughing at us? It's a uniform, not a national crisis, lighten up.

There are so many other uniform possibilities that don't call to mind Ronald McDonald (or USC). Just look at some of the great ideas that are sketched out on this board. It's just not that hard to avoid this kind of embarrassment. Add it on top of the team's lousy performance and it doesn't inspire much confidence.

In my opinion, it's because we are Iowa State. WVU had basically the same alternate, only with Blue, no one called them out. No one compares Oregon to Subway, although look at the Subway logo, they should. And imo, Oregon puts together some of the Ugliest uniforms I've seen (They do nice ones too, but imo, are about 50/50).

This in no different than listing us in the top 10 ugliest uniforms every year, then you turn the page to see that USC is in the top 10 best. We are a laughing stock becaus we lose football games. We are an easy target. Start winning football games and this **** doesn't matter any more. Call our uniforms ugly, that's fine, just as long as they can't call us losers.

Maybe it will be different on game day, but from my perspective right now it doesn't look good. It's important for one reason, because it matters to recruits.
