I would actually be for Hoke. He's a hard nosed, mean in the trenches, beat your man off the ball, running coach. He inherited a horrible team at Michigan from Rich Rod and lost out in recruiting when Meyer went to OSU. He proved he could win at San Diego St that's for sure. ISU already has a little bit of California flavor going in recruiting.

JH is doing well with Hoke's recruits. Shows me that Hoke does less with more. We need the exact opposite.

What about Brady Hoke. Didn't win enough at Michigan but a great recruiter that won at San Diego state

From a guy that can't hold his own headset to a guy with no headset. Think we should try to land somewhere in the middle.

Get ahead of the game, get Brain Ferentz while he's still young and reasonably priced.

No chance at Fuente, he'll be on a lot of other teams short list.
Meachum is a DFW guy, I can't see him taking a head coaching gig at a school that he knows will not make him look good. Magee has said he's happy where he's at. Head coaching may not be in his plans.

The best one on the list IMO is Campbell, but with their success this year do you think ISU will be able to get him over the bigger schools that will go for him?

Matt Campbell might be a good fit. Might keep Terry Ayeni on as Coach, who is a great recruiter. And Campbell has some good assistants he might bring with.

IMO, we need a coach with Head Coaching experience.

Campbell is probably on the Big 10 Radar, closer to his recruiting area where he is known better. Choices are Indiana, Purdue, Maryland. I think he would choose Purdue.

After watching Memphis play last night, I wouldn't mind Fuentes. Probably late to the party I know but I don't see many home run hires out there. Hoping for someone that can recruit and bring good assistants with them. Going to hurt if we lose Ayeni and Eggins in all off this. Pray to your deities Mike Warren stays in that scenario.

This is probably the name that's been thrown around that excites me the most.

Seriously? He couldn't get it done at Michigan where he had every advantage and resource in a weak B10 and you think Hoke can somehow do something here where other coaches who won national titles, and national awards have failed?

So Purdue is going to fire Hazell who is in the 3rd year of a 6 year deal worth $12 Million???? I just don't see that happening.
