there's about 25 teams that'd make sense or be really fun for us to play home-home. the problem is we make sense for ZERO teams to schedule us. no recruiting, likely no tv, and we're not yet a nationally respectable program. getting there....

This is pretty much the case, but there's got to be some teams that are challenged in similar ways that would play us. Gonzaga, UNVL, San Diego State. Try to match up with some good teams, from leagues that aren't considered power conferences.

I completely disagree with you. This program is on its way to a third straight tourney appearance and everybody has a ton of respect for Fred. If we are playing a program from a major conference it's going to be televised. Only reason it wouldn't make sense for them to schedule us in my opinion is they won't want to play in Hilton.

Selfishly, I want Creighton.

I think Minnesota and Illinois would be the most solid options for us.

Florida. Donovan just took his guys to Wiscy, he's not afraid of a home & home. Plus, Billy & Fred's systems are very similar, would be 2 highly entertaining games.

After that game in Dayton last season, Ohio State by far. I still have a little score to settle with someone over that, but will never be able to in person.

Following them, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Mizzou would be my choices.

Not home and home but would love Witicha State at the Sprint Center.

I'd love Indiana, but that's for selfish reason, being that I live in Indiana and most of my friends here are IU fans. Though I will say, Fred is incredibly respected around here from his time with the Pacers. Tinsley, not so much.

Illinois, Indiana or Ohio State (or another major conference name) at the United Center in Chicago in Nov or Dec. I've been saying for years the ISU men should play a game in Chicago every season. This is a huge market in many ways - population, TV audience, hoops talent, etc. - and we have 8-9,000 alums in the area, so it's really a no-brainer. We got strong fan turnouts in late '09-10 when ISU played a couple games here, and I guarantee we'd do even better now with the direction the program is heading. What do you say, JP? Let's make it happen!

I think any of the quality Big 10 schools would be good ones. somebody said anyone other than Wisconsin and while I agree they are not exciting to watch we have got some recruits from that state and why not give them a game that shows the style of basketball Hoiberg plays at ISU as opposed to what they see at Wisconsin.

I don't want to watch Wisconsin. That may be my only standard. I hate that garbage basketball with the fiery passion of a thousand supernovas.
