Lincoln, Ne
Where: Hilton Coliseum - Ames, Iowa
When: Friday Nov. 9 at 12 p.m.
Projected Starting Lineup: Bridget Carleton, Meredith Burkhall, Alexa Middleton, Madison Wise, Ashley Joens
Radio: Cyclone Radio Network/Learfield
Talent: Brent Blum & Chris Williams
TV: Cyclones.tv

CBF announced two redshirts - both could contribute, I'll especially await Kane in the lineup. Plenty of talent left - though it seems CBF may have his top seven in mind, there is no one on this roster who couldn't contribute if needed.

Leaving Nebraska early this AM for binge on Cyclone sports - three basketball and one football game in three days. Hope to see you there.

Go State!

I said yesterday in the other thread that Niagara might be able to hang around if they hit their shots. It's an understatement to say that, on both counts, they aren't.

49-12 ISU at half. ISU shooting 57.6% from the field compared to Niagara's 17.9%. Joens with 16 points on 4-8 behind the arc. Carleton on triple-double alert with 4 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists -- her biggest issue might be whether she gets enough playing time in the second half to complete it.

Wow, crowd looks small on CYTV. But announcer says it's a big crowd. Must be all them HS kids up in the nose bleed sections he's referring to.

Joens shooting a lot of good looking 3ees. I can see that she has great potential.

Rather lopsided game.

The lower bowl is mostly season ticket holders, and there are probably a ton of no-shows for a weekday noon game. I assume all the field trip kids are in the balcony like you suggest.

Couldn't get Cyclone.TV to launch in Chrome. Switched over and got it to work on Firefox. Weirdness of Cy.TV continues. Going to leave it logged in there so I don't miss tonight's game.

Turned into a laugher really fast. Good to see Joens hitting those threes. That could be a big deal in conference play if she can hit those. Not much else to observe, it's like another exhibition.

Good games coming up at months end though and maybe next Sunday to. South Dakota, Arkansas and Iowa. Next Sunday TBD.

That 4th quarter was way more interesting than I thought it would be. Was thinking I'd pop outside and shovel the walk off but watched it all. The three PG and two post lineup was sorta fun. Being a Minnesota guy I liked seeing Johnson gets some real minutes but also thought Thurmon looked pretty good. If Thurmon can reign herself in some, like today, she can help this team out. Seems like she is trying to do what she needs to do.

It feels like a matter of time before she's the primary backup at PG. She's still working on the adjustment, but it feels like she's getting there. I think Rae will still get plenty of playing time, especially since ISU could play both of them at the same time and have them effectively play PG together. ISU had 3 PG out there at times in the 4th (Rae, Jade, Nia) and it actually worked pretty well, although I wouldn't expect all three out there at the same time against a good team.

Fennelly said Rae was the primary backup PG because Niagara plays a zone and she's a better shooter than the other options. Sounds like Jade might see more time against a team that runs man-to-man.
