UPDATE: Just spoke with George. He is pumped up and in. Sounded very solid to ISU. Credited relationship with Hoiberg as key. It was a fun interview. I'll have a complete story up on Monday. Again, have that family stuff tonight that I am already late to. Plus, it is my 1 year anniversary with my wife! I am officially in the dog house.

I'm pumped to get Niang, but there's no way he can play the 3 IMO. Strictly a 4. Although Fred told him he's a "hybrid" 4, so I'm not sure what that means?

But from his videos, he's not the most athletic and coordinated guy I've seen. He has decent post moves down low though. Looks like a banger too. You cannot have too many guys like this down low. Welcome aboard!!

Oh... and Iowa must have backed off on him, right? How else could you explain a kid wanting to come to ISU over Iowa?

Based on personal experience, you will be there again as you've only been married for 1 year. You will get in the dog house and not even see it coming. To make a postive out of it, it is nice and quiet there.

Good timing for ISU on this one...always nice to get a kid committed before he has a chance to blow up in AAU ball over the summer.

That's the thing.... I hope Fred can keep him committed. He might find some better offers come his way. Let's hope not.

Yeah, that is always a concern...but it should be easier to keep a kid committed than get him to commit when the "bigger" schools are in the mix.

Looking at other tweets - It looks like Georges was also recently voted to be Student Body President for the next year. I like the sounds of that. #leadership
