I don't think iowa was ever in serious contention, it was mostly just a courtesy visit to stop in iowa city after he made his Iowa State trip. I was more worried about Big East offers.

mccaffery is really struggling recruiting, his staff is likely scouring the prison systems as we speak looking for another hubbard.

I think FM is doing just fine recruiting. As far as scouting the prison system, that was an idiotic comment. Its certainly true Hubbard made a huge mistakes and had a bad time in his life but I believe he is a different person today and your coach has not only given players a second chance by gave White a chance when no one would

Wow I was actually impressed. Looks like we got a good walk-on. Now that we got this connection going with that area we need to get their 2013 teamate Nerlins Noel.

Thanks what I was thinking too .. damn, that's a pretty good walk on.

(we are talking about Law, Niang's teammate who is walking on at ISU)

Um, What? He was getting recruited by a lot of schools.

Please don't compare White to Hubbard.

Deal with it. As long as all 15 of your basketball fans continue to slam Fred and his recruiting methods, you get to hear us slam your crazy coach for taking a felon. And to compare Royce White to that guy is what's idiotic.

The rivals top 150 for the 2012 class just came out. Niang didn't make it. Eric Bossi said he loved the kids game but he is a 6'6 PF and that hurts him. Said he was a top 200 player though so he barely missed out.

I still think the kid will play a lot better than his ranking. He is going up against top talent and not only holding his own, but winning

Do you understand comparisons?

I do, Goldfinger apparently didn't, which prompted my response. I've read that we signed an undersized big man who can apparently score from anywhere on the court. Hoiberg compared to Love, per the article posted on the front page. I assume since he also has an array of post moves that Kevin Love and Tyler Hansbrough had a baby and named him Georges.

Oh, and of course, they didn't really want Niang. Even though they just offered him a few months ago.

I don't think any Iowa fans are saying they didn't want Niang, but I don't believe anyone is concerned about losing this recruit. If Iowa hauls in Gesell and Woodbury, which is very possible, that would not be a tremendously athletic class, especially if Niang is in there two. The ideal scenario would be to add Gesell and Woodbury, plus two extremely athletic players at other positions to balance things out, so to speak.

What??? You're crazy! According to all 12 of their basketball fans, by the time the felon is in his 30s, iowa will be 'back' in the final 4.

Such delusions. Typical squawks. After they win the BCS championship this year, they will take home both mens and womens basketball titles!

Just sayin' we are just as guilty as a fan base as acting like, "well maybe we didnt really want/need him"
