Re: No 24 thread???

I'm on the west coast so I haven't seen tonights episode, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm logging off now so I don't get any spoilers.

As far as last nights episode, little tame to last years premiere but the story seems like it's going to be much more interesting.

Re: No 24 thread???

I love 24, but have a couple nitpicky things with it.

-I've never been to LA, but have heard the traffic is horrendous, yet these people can make it to their destination in a matter of minutes. I guess it's just the whole "suspend reality and just enjoy it" thing.

-The city of LA may want to ask that CTU office to relocate becuase it seems the nastiest things seem to find it. 2 seasons ago, LA almost got nuked (by a missile fired from Iowa), last season several nerve gas canisters went off there, and now this season it does get nuked.

Notice how bad things only happen to LA when Jack is around? LA probably wishes the Chinese still had him.:yes4lo:

Saw the episode, and I live in Valencia (which can either be called Santa Clarita or Newhall, they are all the same place). We are all required to wear radiation suits as of right now. They still haven't fixed the train that was bombed last year in Santa Clarita, which makes the commute to Hollywood even harder. I also think that CTU has special freeways they use to get to each location because I'm still trying to figure out where Highway 7 is, especially since they showed the exit for Sand Canyon which is on the 14 Freeway, and which is also not in Newhall but in Canyon Country. I'm going into my bomb shelter now, I don't want to be hit by the radiation fallout.

Is Curtis definitely dead? I know he got shot in the neck, but characters have survived worse on the show.

Also, now I'm torn. I got hooked on Heroes, and 24 and Heroes are on at the same time. I don't have TIVO or a DVR so I have a choice to make. Maybe I'll have to find someone with a DVR to record one of them for me.

terrorist better watch out they just made Jack very angry.... you don't want to make Jack angry. The bald guy from season five that they showed in the previews for next week is screwed.

I'm pretty sure they showed Curtis die. It seemed obvious to me. Anyone else?

Also, I watch both shows too. Do you have a VCR? Just tape one of them.

Fox is releasing the 4 hour premiere on DVD today......

DVR's are worth the extra $5 a month from Comcast (CO Cable provider). I think of it not as buying another machine, but buying time to do other things.

WOW!

A few things:

-I saw a show about 24 on C-Span (of all places) a few weeks ago. The writers did say that they know they are taking "artistic license" with LA travel times. They also say they will continue to base all plots in LA since that is the only place they can logistically film.

-I think this show is not more highly rated because I would venture a guess that the audience is probably 80-90% male...not enough women are watching.

-It does appear that Curtis died...but stranger things have happened.

-I believe they have really made Jack made with the nuke...not good news for the bad guys.

Can't wait for next week...I might by the DVDs of the first 4 episodes just to see the sneak peek for next week...what a great marketing ploy!!

The last shot of Curtis with his eyes staring off to nowhere land would make me lean to the 'Yep, he's dead' side of it, but with 24 you can never be sure.

Do I tape 24? and watch Heroes? or tape heroes and watch 24? Better yet, watch 24 on Mondays and watch Heroes on Sci Fi channel when they replay the episode on Fridays @ 6pm. The first new ep of Heroes will air Mon the 22nd on NBC and will then be shown on the 26th on Sci-Fi.

I wouldnt risk it, just tape one of them to be sure. Then you can watch Heroes and 24 back to back on Mondays. That way you can zoom through commercials on whichever you decided to tape.
