I think we missed their leadership and alpha dog mentality. Our additions this year were not enough to replace their losses.

Nader being inserted into lineup will be a plus. He has a solid game and more playing time will help him improve. I will not miss BDJ. He just didn't fit into the team like I thought.

Cooke, Williams and Burton will be great additions. Just need to focus on rebounding and defense.

Hope this loss humbles some of the guys.

You know who else we missed? Grayer and Hornacek. I also personally missed Hercle Ivy. Those guys would have helped.

This group managed to finish higher in the conference than that group. In fact, this group finished higher in the conference than any Fred team.

I think with rebounding Ejim was a big loss, but what let us down was our 3 point shooting. We did remarkably well at the end of the year without a 2 guard consistently knocking down 3's. Almost miraculous we beat KU in the Big 12 Championship with only 2 3's hit all game. If memory serves anyway.

No, this team just isn't as tough as last year's team that won 3 road games.

I have been thinking about this, a lot of people are lamenting the lack of defense and rebounding. But I think the easiest route to improvement next year is better perimeter shooting.

Our returning guys are not going to flip a switch and become good defenders and rebounders. They are what they are by now. But a little (not a lot) better outside shooting from Naz, Monte, Matt, Nader and hopefully Cooke next year and we're not dropping games like KSU, South Carolina, Tech, road Baylor and UAB.

We just don't have any bad *** *******.

White was always prepared to **** **** up.

Babb was always prepared to **** **** up.

Kane was always prepared to **** **** up.

No one on this team was ever prepared to **** **** up.

I do agree, our three point shooting was very inconsistent this year. Think next season that can improve.

I've said it all year and got **** for it until recently. DeAndre Kane is what this team missed.

What refreshing subject......

each team is different, it makes no sense to what if them or compare them, they both had successful seasons that left a lot on the court...

move the hell on.

they were great players, but they had rough nights too. Take WVU, or UConn for example. Kane couldn't guard Napier and Napeir had 12 points on him before we switch Morris over to him. And Ejim, my goodness he looked like that was the first ever game of basketball he ever played against UConn, I mean he really stunk up the place. So while those guys were great, they were not invincible and when we needed them most last year against UConn, it was Morris and Hogue who were the guys that stepped up and tried to keep us in it.

Cooke, Williams and Burton will be great additions. Just need to focus on rebounding and defense.

Hope this loss humbles some of the guys.

Kane was a bad **** and would go right at a team. He was the deal breaker. We didn't have that this year and constantly had to battle back.

You didn't get any Guff from me because I agree with you...Kane was the one player that we never replaced.....Without better defenders and rebounders we will see the same kind of b ball next year.....

Good shooting comes and goes while defense and rebounders are Constants...
