The focus should be on what we are not facing this year, which is another road game like the other 4 of the last 5 NCAA losses; 1) Mich St in Michigan, 2) North Carolina in North Carolina, 3) Kentucky in Kentucky, and 4) Ohio St in Ohio.

We absolutely deserved that at the least with our seed. Should've had our own home court, just got unlucky.

ESPN's in-game predictor has the computer giving ISU an 84% chance to win (obvs. 16% NC Central.) Public going 90% ISU (obvs. 10% NC Central.) Little higher chance of losing than I would like in round of 64. But I trust Fred & Co. to not let us down.

Jesus people, I hate H****** as much as anyone else, but it was almost half of my lifetime ago. Most of our players probably had no idea Iowa State even existed back then. It happened closer to Fred's senior year than his first year as head coach for us. We've played in the tourney plenty of times since and have won games against good teams. Get over it. It was a fluke. Can it happen again? Sure. Will it happen again? Not with Fred Hoiberg as our coach.
thank you

I'd much rather face a defensive team than an offensive one that could light it up that day, I'm not worried about scoring on anyone.

Leading scorer averages 20. Second guy comes in at 10, no one else in double figures.

Their leading scorer has 273 FT attempts this season. He had 16 games this season where he had at least 9 attempts at the charity stripe. This guy makes a living at the FT line where he scored 31% of his points on the season.

He had 16 games this season where he had at least 15 FG attempts. This guy obviously is a 1 man team as he racked up 460 FG attempts on the season while the next closest player had only 242 FG attempts. He jacked up 26% of his teams shots for the entire season.

This. The reality is that ISU has far more talent then NCCU does and far more offensive firepower. The Cyclones will be by far the best team that NCCU has faced this season. Yeah... yeah... they played Wichita State but I'll fill you in on a secret... ISU is a better team and a more tested team then Wichita State is. NCCU hasn't played a team with the offensive skillset that ISU brings to the table. 5 guys that can all handle the ball, 5 guys that can knock down 3's, 5 guys that can take it to the rim, etc... Now NCCU might be able to slow down games against crappy MEAC schools but they aren't going to be able to slow down this ISU offense. If ISU can handle them on the boards they will run these guys out of the gym.

They've been the best team in the their league the last 2 years but have struggled when Irving didn't score. This ISU team just put up numbers on 3 really good defensive teams in the big 12 tourney, I think they can get enough points up to get by even a huge game by this kid.

The Hampton loss wasn't really a fluke. They were struggling late in the year and got beat by a bad Baylor team in the 1st conference tourney game. Tinsleys play in that game was so bad, a lot of people wondered out loud if he was point shaving. They also had no interior presence and actually lived and died by the 3.

Best quote of the article from their coach...

“We’re playing a really good team that will probably make it to the Final Four,” Moton said.

I'm glad to see their coach is already waving the white flag.

After watching the video, I do like their coach and the players that spoke. With that said, I still want to beat the snot out of them!!! Just a figure of speech of course.
