Anyone else find it odd that the player is off the team and the coach is only suspended at this point? Seems backwards to me.

As for the players age, I read an article that said she had knee surgery her senior year of high school and delayed her college career by a year while she rehabbed. Then her first year at JC, she injured the other knee and lost that season.

We have no idea what happened, we are instantly assuming. So this can't really be answered.

It is possible to be coincidental -- though two large events for a program happening essentially at once like this would be quite the timing. Not sure the "he's suspended and she's kicked off the team" response really fits for a hypothetical inappropriate relationship. You'd figure he'd be fired for that and less would happen to her.

Coach has a contract I assume they are having lawyers wade through. If the coach's contract ends at the end of the season they might just let it play out so nothing else hits the news and embarrasses them even more.

Also a lot of coaches have fire dates. So if you are still coaching after a certain date, the buy out is not as much. So maybe they are waiting for that date to fire him. With the player, you can just kicker her off the team and allow her to still attend school.

Pretty sure this is the case, he's gone they just have to do some more paperwork and process before he's officially fired.

3 kids and a trophy 23 yr old and having to start a new career going to be expensive. I would think this would slow his coaching trajectory down? If our speculations are true.

Not exactly sure.

He may want to start coaching men's teams if this is going to be what he does.

I actually think it's more likely that the player attacked the coach physically based on the suspension for the coach and the player not being on the team anymore.

If that's all it is this isn't that big of a deal. Obviously it shouldn't happen and some punishment is in order, but they are both adults.

I'm guessing their are team and university rules about this kind of thing, like it or not.

Guess we can add Chuck Love to the already long list of coaches who the University of Nebraska is paying not to coach. Good thing they get a large check from the Big 10 each year.

I appreciate the Itsgame article painting the picture of an inappropriate relationship with their seductive pictures of her from her instagram. High profile reporting!

While I get what you are saying he's still married with children and a coach on the team. That coach player dynamic makes it not ok IMO (if that's what's happening).
