So you are saying we are saving money by not putting in a freight elevator for the fat man?

The few tweets from players that Mess had recruited makes me lean towards Mess, but that is peer speculation. I should have clarified myself by saying, at this point in time it sounds like Mess IMO.

Peer speculation among the recruits but pure speculation among the message board.

If it is Mess I will be satisfied. I have talked to him a few times at practices and from my experience I think he will do a good job for us. He also coached a high school friend of mine and he has nothing but high regards for Mess.

I have yet to hear of anybody that didn't like him. Not a splashy hire, but sometimes that is a good thing.

I heard the burger joints in town could not handle the fat man's demands of burgers per day. I trust Coach Rhoads

We need more explosive plays from our offense whoever is making the play calling. Messingham is good guy I like it, if it holds.

I think this could be a good way to go. Coach has already said he isnt changing the system so this would make sense. Mess knows how CPR works and wants. Im hoping this is one of those hires that isnt a huge splash is great down the rhoad (see what I did there).

I trust CPR like everyone else, but if mess is the new OC im very worried. The WR's did improve this year but they were still average at best and he is their coach. Also CPR hiring from within means he wants to keep the EXACT same offense, not just a spread offense. And im sorry but ISU's offense the last 3 years has been pure crap... I want the spread as well but id like to see a different variation of it then what we have now and i doubt that will happen if the new OC really is Mess. Not to mention Mess has basically been trained by Tom Herman so why would anyone think his play calling will be any better? Doesnt seem like a step forward IMO. Prove me wrong

I think you may be in for a big disappointment then. Just putting 2 and 2 together.

If it's Messingham than why the crap wasn't he the OC for the bowl game? Get a head start on next year...makes no sense...he would've given it more time/attention than a distracted Herman did...

Why would Messingham be "trained" by Herman? He was offensive coordinator for multiple years at different schools and I'm pretty sure he's salty enough to think for himself rather than blindly follow Herman.

It doesn't mean that CPR wants to keep the exact same offense, but we'll see. Making a significant change from Herman is as easy as not playing a TE once and a while.
