I mean I’d like to agree with this because I don’t think firing prohm is the solution. But of course he didn’t. He said that because they needed him to say that.
it will be really funny when prohm leaves and 75% of the people on here think that’s going to happen.
Tyrese needs to be tougher. He is such a *****
Agree completely. Question, did Prohm get asked why he refused to play Lewis? Surely a reporter asked this right??I don't think anyone expected us to win. Its the way we lost that has people upset. Prohm is very predictable and doesn't adapt. We had a promising lineup against Auburn and never tried it once tonight. Why? Lewis played 2 meaningless minutes...why? Nixon and Jacobsen continue to get significant minutes and continue to be terrible. Why do they keep playing? This isn't the first time a Prohm coached team has displayed weird lineup issues.
They are struggling due to poor coaching.Regardless of steve's line-ups, coaching, etc. its pretty amazing that:
5 returning players basically didn't improve at all: Lewis, Griffin, Solo/Jake/Conditt
4 recruits: 0-4, 2 transfered before the season even started and we're getting nothing from jackson and grill
1 transfer: nixon, not ready for b12 ball
we're a mess right now.
i know its not proper CF ettiquette to criticize players, but they're all struggling horribly
McDermott lost a ton at home, but at least he didn’t get his ass kicked this much.
Take some happier stuff, Doc.Tyrese needs to be tougher. He is such a *****
Nah, he's not. His game is predicated on getting everyone on the floor involved. Look at Lonzo Ball this year for the Pelicans. He's playing outstanding ball without being a dominant scorer. When Tyrese's supporting cast is mostly non-B12 caliber (besides Bolton) it's a recipe for disaster. Think how he'd look if he was Kansas' pg, he'd average a double-double (not a triple double because KU bigs actually rebound). Nixon and Jacobson are 9/10th man at best on any sort of competent B12 roster, Grill looks absolutely terrified to even be on the court and the one player who can shoot reasonably well and make nice cuts to the basket is riding the pine for whatever reason.
So, if Haliburton were to return (I know he's 99% not), would this team be better based only on the two seniors leaving? Or would Prohm still put them in the starting lineup even if they weren't on the team any longer?
The only thing that I can come up as to why Nixon and Jacobsen are starting is that Prohm must have used a sharpie on the white board listing the lineup and he doesn't want to admit it. Otherwise, I've got no idea.
Believe what you want, I believe what Jamie said. Perhaps your close personal relationship with Fred gives you information I do not have access to.I mean I’d like to agree with this because I don’t think firing prohm is the solution. But of course he didn’t. He said that because they needed him to say that.
We would treat it like Uthoff transferring from Wisconsin to Iowa. Probably allow it only if Foster loses a year of eligibility. He signed a LOI and I don’t expect us to release him from it to sign with Iowa.
I see Drew brought out the "he's a nice guy" argument for Prohm last night. I remember when that started for McDermott.
No he didn’t. Giving his best after being hired and saying that he will do a good job =/= recommending him for the job.No opinion here, just fact for the Fred lovers and a Prohm haters -Fred recommended Prohm.
I looked through his history and it still seems like Prohm has begun losing more games at home by 10+ than McDermott did.Oh yes he did.
“So during our discussions,” Pollard said, “I said to Fred ‘OK, so if you leave, who’s out there that I ought to be thinking about?’ The first person out of his mouth was Steve Prohm. No he didn’t. Giving his best after being hired and saying that he will do a good job =/= recommending him for the job.
