Just checked BaylorFans.com and there isn't much going on there. Did pick up a little nugget for tonight's game... Baylor's bench isn't great. Per one of their posters their bench has scored a grand total of 1 point in their last 3 games.

Well that poster would be wrong... Prince came off the bench in all 3 games and scored 17 in 2 of those games, and 8 in one of them.

If you don't count him then that is true.

The more I look into Baylor this year, the less concerned I get about tonight's game. Of course, that means I should be more concerned.

Even my Ever-green outlook on Hoiball is telling me this game is both a let-down game and a look ahead game. If Hoiball pulls through in this situation nothing can stop us. Let's go win this thing.

This game is huge. If we want to win the big 12 you typically have to go undefeated at home, (9-0) and steal some on the road. Already have WV, and if we can get Baylor that puts us at a big advantage at 2-0 on the road. Will also need to win @ TCU and @ Tech, assuming that happens we'd be at 4 wins on the road. With games left of @OU, @ TX, @ KSU, @ OSU and @ KU, would probably need to get 2 of those 5 I'm guessing to win he big xii.

Good points. However, winning out at home in the Big 12 - even at Hilton, dare I say it - is not a given. Another road win would be great for insurance.

Definitely not a give, I agree. But to win the big xii that's what I think needs to happen. Maybe could get away with 1 loss, but if it's to a contender we're probably going to need to beat them at their house too, or hope we get lucky if they have a "bad loss".

The Big 12 is just murderous.

I think a big part of that is that he's exactly the type of player that struggles most with Georges. He and especially Motley can be foul machines. Getting them in foul trouble would be huge.

ADDING: Last year in 3 games against ISU:

40 minutes, 7 fouls, 5 points, 9 boards

But that would mean Cyclones have to make their free throws, and with all due respect to those who actually are playing the game, the Cyclones are not exactly all that intimidating from the free throw line. Infact, the way I see it for the Cyclones opponents have to be thinking, "well 1 point this trip down the court is better than 3."

ISU FT% = 71%
Baylor FT% = 65%

Leaving work here soon for a pregame and looking forward to going down.

Hope we can come out with a win down there. The fanbase should have a pretty good showing.

Look like they finally got a game thread up on BaylorFans.com. Here's a sad quote from their discussion:

"If you're going to the game tonight they are passing out White shirts to the first 5000 fans (hopefully we get that many)."

Gonna be a tough game tonight. I know the whole 'one game at a time', but I have to think the players are more focused on Saturday than tonight. Naz is due for a big game, and we'll need him to beat their zone.

The only way tonight plays into the focus for Saturday is the players want a win tonight so that the battle Saturday is truly for #1 in the conference race. You're kidding yourself if you think the team cares more about Saturday than tonight - they are focusing on the overall season and tonight is just as (if not more) important than a game 3 days away. Win tonight, then you can win on Saturday and be in the drivers' seat. Lose tonight, win Saturday and we're back to logjam at the top which nobody likes.

45 minutes left at work, I think I'll watch the second half of the BigXII tourney title game from last year. That'll do.

I actually think BDJ will have a good game tonight. He has been active with rebounds and pretty solid defense the last few games, but not a lot of buckets.

Tonight that rim will look like a hula-hoop and he gets 20+.

Just a prediction to edit or delete later.
