Baylor made 3's, ISU didn't. Ball game.

It wasn't that they made them, it's that most of them were WIDE open (aside from some of Chery's BS).

Throughout much of the game we unnecessarily doubled, leaving someone WIDE open on the arc. The rest of the time, we had FOUR guys in the lane, leaving 1-2 players wide open for 3's on the perimeter.

The lack of intensity in fighting through screens, poor rotation, and terrible shot selection down the stretch got us the L. Also Hoiberg's atrocious substitutions had a MAJOR part in the implosion. Your team is on a run, playing great basketball, and you sub 3 guys in (taking McKay our) at that juncture in the game? Not smart.

I also don't like the fact that we had 3 timeouts at the end. Drew last timeout made no sense, but otherwise he used them well.

Baylor is a good team that can match us athletically. We played poor perimeter defense and they shot amazing even when we did guard them tight.
This is the problem. We didn't guard them tight at all. That's why they finished with 14 3s. Teams don't make 14 tightly contested 3s.

I will say the crap about Coaching needs to stop. but when you are down by that much you need to foul and extend the game.

Horrible job on the coaches and players. Nice job having to win out and losing at at home.
I could see us losing 2 more conf games
Great job BU.
Wow...rip on people for bashing coaches and go onto rip on the coaches ..makes sense post makes sense

How can a team win two games on the road and then come to a place where they *almost never* lose and lose? It makes no sense. Was it winning on the road made them think it was a given? Was it lack of preparation? Was it terrible communication on the court? It's not embarrassing because most teams lose at home at least once. But to have a title in your hands - to finally (finally!) show the country this is our year - and it's gone. Just like that.

6 3's in a row. Give me a ******* break.
Yep -- most of those were wide open. BUT, Chery's first one was well guarded by Hogue. Another one was also guarded pretty well. If Chery doesn't make that first one -- perhaps the game turns out different. We were cruising along and then the fit hit the shan. For as much as people want to find fault with our D, think about all the open looks Baylor's D gave us down the stretch. Problem was Niang & Nader couldn't cash in on those great looks.

Usually I'm indifferent after a loss, but this one just made me mad.
