For all the hate I give Jerry Palm and CBS, this is a pretty good synopsis of all the bubble games that take place each night.

Poppin' Bubbles: Oklahoma among teams to suffer losses - CBSSports.com

Arizona State, Indiana State, Arkansas, Maryland and Charlotte really hurt themselves last night. Bubbles popping.

I don't think Wichita State's loss could be deemed a tournament crusher, it's just a bad loss.

Akron, Belmont, Boise State and Saint Mary's are strengthening their At Large profiles if they were to lose in their conference tournaments.

Minus the crazy B1G love for Iowa, that bubble is popped.

Disagree about Witchita State. That really hurt them. The MVC champ will now more than likely be Creighton as Witchita must come to Otown and win in front of 18k Creighton fans this Saturday. Expect these two to swap places. UNI is catching up to Indiana State.

Bubble implication games for Saturday:

Iowa State Vs. Oklahoma -Just win for ISU.

Alabama vs. Florida - Alabama needs a marquee win.

Maryland vs. Wake Forest - Maryland is running on fumes. Lose this and would have to win the ACC tourney.

Tennessee vs. Georgia - Tennessee can extend its winning streak

Wichita State vs. Creighton - Battle for the MVC Regular Season Championship. Winner safely in the tourney.

Temple vs. Rhode Island - Temple survived Detroit. Needs to keep winning. Currently a First 4 in by Lunardi.

Connecticut vs. Cincinnati - Cincinnati on a slide, but the losing may not stop here.

La Salle vs. Duquesne - La Salle should be a lock, but a win gets them closer.

UMASS vs. Xavier - Xavier beat Memphis, next up fellow bubbler UMASS.

Arizona State vs. USC - ASU needs this, but USC is playing better

Kentucky vs. Arkansas - Lunardi has Kentucky as a first 4 in. Be smart to not lose here.

Colorado vs. California - A Cal win makes them a lock certainty, a Colorado win makes the Buffs a lock certainty.

Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State - Ole Miss must win. Another first 4 in, cannot afford a loss.

Boise State vs. Colorado State - Boise St. on a winning streak. Need another marquee win. CSU is that team.

Saint Mary's vs. Santa Clara - Saint Mary's nearly a lock, just don't lose easy games like this.

Baylor vs. Kansas State - Baylor really sliding. Need this win badly.

St. Johns vs. Providence - St. Johns running on fumes, can't afford a loss to Providence.

Villanova vs. Pittsburgh - Sunday game, Another marquee win for Nova. A way to get out of the first 4 in.

Mid Majors who could cause bubble trouble. The main goal for all these teams is to just keep winning. If any of them loses, they lose any At Large hopes, and make many major conference bubble teams very happy.

Louisiana Tech vs. San Jose State
Middle Tennessee vs. Western Kentucky
Akron vs. Buffalo
Belmont vs. Jacksonville State

Let me resume the thread today by saying: Gawd, that was a terrible game at OU. You couldn't have scripted it worse.

Now, on to a few "addition-by-subtraction" notes to buoy our Bubble Spirits, at least in the short-term:

* That was a top-25 RPI road loss. I didn't expect a beatdown, but -- still.
* Tennessee lost at Georgia (145 RPI; UGA swept the Vols)
* Alabama didn't gain any ground (non-hurtful loss at Florida)
* Arizona State is down 33-18 at USC.

Iowa State still may have to play its way out. Key is: Don't play your way out.

The good thing is (for now), teams in the field but on the edge aren't doing that well, and quite a few true-bubble teams aren't, either.

Lunardi needs to at least swap Maryland and Southern Miss.

I think it's clear from here in out and comes down to 1 single game that will decide if we are securely in or will be sweating bullets come Selection Sunday. That's right, I'm looking straight at you Okie State on Wednesday. A top 25 win this late in the season would be HUGE for a bubble team and I am very thankful we have the opportunity to pick another up. Something a lot of othe teams do not get the chance at and are pretty much guaranteed to be sweating come Selection Sunday...

also note that Iowa State has the best resume of the other first four teams according to Lunardi. A team barely above ISU loses before Tuesday and ISU won't be there in his next update.

Majority of games are played on Wednesday.
Most likely wins in priority order from more easy to most difficult: OSU, WVY, OU in the tournament.
