@GoodmanHoops Oakland guard Jaevin Cumberland will be a grad transfer, source told @Stadium. Averaged 17.2 points this past season.

@therealdcunna Yavuz Gultekin (@yavuzgultekin19), a 6’7”, 3⭐️PF #Hokies’ commit from Bel Air, Maryland, posted this on his Instagram a little over an hour ago, announcing he is going to explore other options. He’s the 2nd of Tech’s 4 commits to announce they are exploring other options.

This guy would fit Shayok's hole really well.

Nixon, Haliburton, Cumberland, Jacobson, Conditt.

Not so sure. Check his production versus p5 teams.

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jaevin-Cumberland-82819/

I'm not sure what his history was prior to last year, but he put up pretty decent numbers in their few P5 (or similar) competition last year.

Scored:

Xavier - 8
Georgia - 14
Mich St - 13
Unlv - 12

The DraftExpress numbers could be thrown off by his previous seasons where he didn't score much?

That's a cool tool. My one thinking would be, what else was around him? Was his production bad against better teams because talent around him was poor? That kind of stuff you'd need to watch the tape for but still a good tool and reference. Didn't know that existed.
I didn't either. When I googled his name that came up. Pretty interesting. Regarding his supporting cast, you have an excellent point.

Haha, I'll give you credit for the gif. That's pretty funny

But you realize currently Zion Griffin and Lewis are slated for that spot, right?

We're probably not getting a better grad transfer than this. We need to find at least 1 more scorer for us to get back into the dance for next year.

Yes and it scares the crap out of me. We absolutely have to get a grad transfer wing.

Here's a big one, former McD's AA. Had a disappointing year, couldn't find much playing time for the Wolfpack. The staff doesn't have any connections that I know of but interesting name.

@EvanDaniels Source: Former five-star prospect Jordan Brown is transferring from Nevada.

Averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Borzello calls him a forward but Seattle has him listed as a guard. Dude should be a Rayjon backup if he does grad transfer.

I just watched his highlight video on 247. Honestly I can't figure out how he was a 5 star All American. I have watched Conditt's highlight video in high school and I would take Conditt over Brown. Maybe I am missing something though.

You probably aren't wrong. A chunk of the 5-star level guys each year are hold overs from their ultra-impressive 9th-10th grade performance or physical dominance, you see it more often with PF's and Centers because they are more likely to get rated higher as a Freshman when they are one of a few 6'10 kids in their grade (as an example).

Unfortunately, I feel this way somewhat about Xavier Foster.

6-6 215 lbs

This year he averaged
9.5 ppg 5.0 rpg 1.5 apg in 22 mpg

Shot 46.7% from 3 this year (35-75)

Freshman year at Rutgers
8.1 ppg 3.9 rpg 0.9 apg in 24 mpg

Played in Florida in high school. IMO if he’s actually a plus 3P shooter, he’d be a good replacement for THT.

From his senior year of high school:
Jonathan Laurent (6’6, 2015, Dr. Phillips)- Has transformed his game more than anyone in the last two years. At this point in 2013, he was known as a showtime dunker. One of the best available players in the country, he is a really good jump shooter, a skilled passer, and a bulldog defender at four positions While he is a wing, he creates so many mismatches with his good footwork, length, huge hands and ability to rebound and score at the rim.”

From after his disappointing sophomore year at Rutgers:

“Jonathan Laurent isn’t an offensive force and Steve Pikiell saw that.

Pikiell used him exactly how he should have been used. Laurent is a player who can utilize his long frame on defense, locking down ball-dominant players with his above-average wingspan. Anything he can add on offense is a bonus”
