Good luck with that one, every blue blood in college basketball will be after him, on the 1% chance he actually decides to go this route.
Would Minnesota block him from staying in the B1G and heading to Nebraska? If no, I could see him finally playing for Someone. An name to keep an eye on. Amir Coffey. Possible grad transfer at the end of the year.
I thought he declared for the NBA
Wow. I live in the Twin Cities, and Gopher fans would be livid if this happened. It would really put a dent in the "he's starting to build with the great, local talent" thing that some are starting to hope with Pitino. I don't watch enough Gophers hoops to have a good sense of whether Pitino's any good, but he's at least not as annoying as Fleck and his schtick - ugh. Pitino has been plagued by not having good PGs. Coffey was even the main ball-handler late in the year, which probably doesn't make a lot of sense. Coffey is very mercurial - great one game, invisible the next,... though, he did have a good run to end the season. Agree that many would be after him, including NE.He entered his name in the draft from what I am told but is staying in school to get his degree and will see what the NBA guys tell him. From my understanding him and his dad can't stand Patino and his dad thinks he has been mishandled. I would agree every blue blood would be after him but us being close to Minnesota might give us a leg up. I could see Richard blocking Nebraska. Not sure what the big 10 rules are on that type of thing.
