I trust Prohm's recruiting more than most. But the selfish fan in me wants him to stop messing around and go all in on Rayjon Tucker and David Jenkins.

Well ISU made Ravjon Tucker's first cut of schools, not sure how the staff can go more "all in" they obviously prioritized, pitched him and got his attention. Recruiting is a two way street they may have been told Jenkins doesn't have interest.

Nader was already mentioned as an example of a transfer many weren't too excited about ISU pursuing and we saw how that turned out. Right now we have to trust the staff's evaluation, especially with the mid-major transfers since most haven't seen them yet.

I am very interested in Kane now appearing to taking the head recruiting duties. He seems to have identified a number of underrated players who excel as they mature, best example is him identifying Ja Morant. Kane may have better success getting transfers as opposed to the last time ISU was trying to flll holes before his hire. I am cautiously optimistic.

I would rather get a grad transfer with all the players leaving then a sit out kid that didn't do much at Troy. I mean if he averaged that at Minnesota or Houston or something like that, then yeah. I mean that ties up a scholarship for 3 years on a kid that average 10 points a game at a low mid major that is not that good. I would be much more excited if he averaged like 19 a game at that type of school. So yeah a let down for me for sure. There has to be more sit out transfers that we could go after. Otherwise I would rather take Frenchy and Grill.

Doesn’t Houston have a national title?

3 Final Fours and a couple title game defeats, one to NC State in 1983 and Georgetown in 1985. That's the Phi Slamma Jamma years.

I don't remember a Houston title. It would have to way before, but that would run into the 50s, 60s, or 70s, and I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. Elgin Baylor ran into UCLA. They've generally been a program that peaks at a really high level, but just inches short of a national title.

I have to think with LW and THT leaving, ISU has to be appealing to a transfer looking to be the focal point of the offense. I would be disappointed if the staff couldn't convince one sought after scoring guard/wing to come with that open opportunity.

Good grad transfers are in high demand because there are't many of them. I am not expecting to land one so if they got one I would be ecstatic and I won't be disappointed if they don't get one.

Don't know. But they have a good program history which is why I said maybe Houston but no way is Nevada on ISU's level as far as programs go.

I agree the Nevada doesn't have the history, conference or fan following of ISU.
That said, Nevada under Musselman was rated in the top 15 the past couple of years and consistently involved with and getting the top transfers available (even got a McD's AA too) the past 5 years. They will be major player and stiff competition for all the top transfers this spring.
They are in someways the new Blue Blood of Transfers and Transfer U.

Oh, those fans of the 80’s.

Houston had a great run in the early 80’s. Also a really bad run for nearly 35 years, with a 25 year period in which they went once to the tournament.

Yes, I remember my disappointment when we didn’t get Mooney who we visited. Everyone said the lineup was too crowded to nab a good one. Well that won’t be the case this coming year. Hope someone sees us as their ‘fit’! One of top grad transfers already committed to Kentucky. Another visiting NCar./Duke, etc. Now all the blue bloods are getting the top transfers...esp since they lose their one-and-dones.
